I've seen it before too (not very often) and it doesn't really bother me. I do, however, see a lot of CO's attending their own events and I often see CO's claiming finds on their own challenge caches. Still not a big deal to me.

I think they aim to get a cache reviewed within 3 days although it's often faster and on occasion it can be a little longer. As for what they look for, they'll pretty much just make sure that the cache falls within all the guidelines in the knowledge books. Hope that helps.

I have the same problem but I've noticed that it only occurs when I switch computers. I have a desktop and a laptop that I use frequently to visit gc.com. If I stay on one computer, I never need to sign in again. It may just be because you're accessing the website from a few different sources. Not sure if anything can be done about it.

Hopefully this won't be too confusing: Go to the forums website. At the top right you'll see your geocaching name. Click it and then click on "My Settings". You'll then be brought to "Your Options" page. Click on "Forums". From there click on "Manage Watched Forums". Once there, you can delete any forum from your watch list. Hope that helps.

Tempting, but I don't think I care enough to even bother with that. Anyone hit the "Flag Challenge" yet? I actually had an idea for what I thought might be a fun challenge. Just down the hill from me there's a large metal rooster sculpture. I've thought about placing a nano on it but it's in a very highly visible spot and there might be proximity issues. I was thinking of putting a Action Challenge there and calling it "Choke the Chicken" and see how long it takes someone to flag it as inappropriate. Haha! That's great.

I've noticed this with several challenges. Seems people are being pretty harsh with the ratings.

You should check out GREAT WHITE NORTH GEOTOUR FINAL. There's a cache in the capital of each province with the final in Ottawa. Only three people have found it in almost 5 years. Although, since you'll be ending your trip in the east coast you may not be able to get the final but it's something to think about.

For me it's the mosquitoes. Also, consecutive DNF's. A DNF every now and then is okay but when you get 3+ in a day...

I look at our stats page quite often and this is how it works for me: - The "Update My Statistics Now" button will not show up if you're viewing your stats from your "Public Profile." It will only show up if you click the statistics button at the top of the page on the "Quick View" profile. - The "Update My Statistics Now" button also won't show up if you've clicked it within the last five minutes. Once you see "Statistics generated five minutes ago" you can refresh the page and update your stats again. Sometime you may have to wait another 30 seconds or so. That's just how it works for us.
