  1. So guys, do you dress left or dress right when you geocache? Well? george Wanna go for a ride?

  3. Ah, let me put it this way, waypionts before GCFFFF were hexidecimal. It used numbers 0-9,and letters A-F, 16 symboils, hexadecimial, hex means 6 decimal is 10 6+10 is 16. This mean you could use 4 spaces to count up to 65535. Well, we're past that, and we're still using 4 places so GC is usuing base 31 from here on in so gcg000 is in the base 31 system.... kind of. george Wanna go for a ride?
  4. So if it's now base 32, which cache id# will roll it over again? GCZZZZ george Wanna go for a ride?
  5. Hex is now dead. They kluged the whole thing and the numbering will stay 4 digits but will be base 32 from now on. george Wanna go for a ride?
  6. Having to seek permission for virtual caches seems like a very bad idea. Getting permission for a virtual cache sets a bad precidence. george Wanna go for a ride?
  7. Well, in the car I switch between NRP and Rush. Since most radio music stations suck. Music tastes 80's punk (when it was angry, now it's whiney) Alternative when it was alternative (Femmes, Butthole surfers, pixies, social distortion, primus ) Acid Jazz/Funk (Greyboy Allstars, Robert Walters, Galactic, etc) Classic Rock (Doors, Old Stones, Joplin, Hendrix etc) Some Rap old a newish(Cypress Hill, Eminem, Snoop, others) Lounge Music Lot's of ska (all 3 generations of it, skatalites to Let's go bowling, dancehall crashers and in between) Raggae (Marley, toots, pato, etc) Real Country (Cash, Neslon, Jones) Big fan of Sublime... got drunk with them one night years ago before they had a hit. Dislikes That 80's rock, journey, foregner, styx, bon jovi, spreingstein, mellencamp, most stuf you hear on the radio. george Wanna go for a ride?
  8. Log only is fine, if not prefred. I rarely trade anyway. george Wanna go for a ride?
  9. http://www.soak.net/ This site will give the coordinates of hot springs. What more do you want. Look up the california listing. Wish I could download it unto a .loc file. george Wanna go for a ride?
  10. Does anyone remember the old "Date Kablooey Cache"? Does Woof get to claim a find? george Wanna go for a ride?
  11. quote:Originally posted by Ron Streeter: HOWEVER, when they looked at the cache that was not approved AND archived, they got the hide a cache screen and not the cache page. .__ Let me clarify what I meant. I do this, and I think other people do it too. When I hide a cache and I'm waiting for it to be approved, I will try to figure out where in the que the cache is. So I start punching in numbers below my cache ID number to see how far back the caches that are approved are. Now, if I punch in a cache that has been archived or hasn't been approved yet, I do the the "Hide Seek" page but I may also show up on the cache audit log. Just because a name is on the audit log it doesn't mean that they actually saw the cache page. Now there maybe a local bay area approver who we all know and love. Good. I hope there is one. george Wanna go for a ride?
  12. quote:Originally posted by Ron Streeter:_"outing" a bay area cacher....?_ A well-known bay area cacher is on the list of people who have looked at this. As far as I know, only approvers can look at an archived cache, so I believe this person is an approver. Ron __I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.__ [This message was edited by Ron Streeter on April 22, 2003 at 08:24 AM.] The audit log also shows people who have tried to look at a cache even if they're not memebers. I've seen non memebers names on my audit logs. It could have been a local just checking out new caches to see if the roll over cache has popped up. Not all names on the audit logs are names of people who actually were able to see the cache. At least that's been my expierence. george Wanna go for a ride?
  13. Found a visitor near a cache today. it's not wearing a colar, that's the cache. george Wanna go for a ride?
  14. Actually, I think BruceS passed them. george Wanna go for a ride?
  15. The race isn't decided yet. How many who have bugs stuck back east have spent any time getting ahold of people and trying to convice them to move your bug? I've been busy trying to get Oscar side tracked. As he gets closer to the finish I have more people who can help me out. There is also a bigger chance that someone just may grab the bug and take him all the way to the finish. So I'm busy emailing people. george Wanna go for a ride?
  16. It's getting closer GCFE50 george Wanna go for a ride?
  17. Isn't Death Valley a National Park? george Wanna go for a ride?
  18. I forgot to mention, fake poo. george Wanna go for a ride?
  19. Ah, fake rocks, fake logs, hollow oak galls, fake fungus, fake bird nest, fake sprinkler head. Welcome to the ultra camo cache. What I've been looking for, and semi planning, is a fake outdoor power outlet. Haven't seen that yet but I see it coming. george Wanna go for a ride?
  20. quote:Originally posted by Green Achers:Looks like it's being hand carried across the finish line. So this may take more than detouring... Feel free to invite Clayjar out for diner or something. Then, when they're not looking, search their Geo-bags and grab that darn bug! Or lay out the tack strips as they pass by. Just do something!! California can't loose like this! _Bill of Green Achers_ "The Early Bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese" Author unknown. http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/39570_500.jpg Clayjar is back home. He stopped at AZ. george Wanna go for a ride?
  21. http://www.geocaching.com/track/track_detail.asp?ID=24257 Calling all Orange Co cachers. Be on the look out for this bug. It's the lead but in the cannon ball run and it may be heading your way. Take the bug and place it in a far far far away cache. One of those caches that gets visited once or twice a year. Or maybe a puzzle cache or a big multi cache. I cannot touch the bug since I have a bug in the race. Do you really want a non Californian to win the race.... stop Oscar now. george Wanna go for a ride?
  22. http://www.geocaching.com/track/track_detail.asp?ID=24257 Be on the look out for this bug. It's a canon ball run racer and it needs to be detoured. I have a bug in the race so I can't do it myself. But do you really want a NON California bug to win the race. Take the bug and place it in a far far far off cache. Deep in the woods where few dare to tread. Thanks george Wanna go for a ride?
