  1. I heard about geocaching in the TV, about 6-7 years ago I think. It sounded fun, and I bought a GPS a while later and got my wife convinced it was something for her as well. Now we both go cache hunting when the time allowes it. Great way to explore our country (Denmark)
  2. That really sucks! Better luck in the future.
  3. I'm 100% sure it's a true story...it has happened to me so many times too ;-)
  4. First time I heard about geocaching was in 2003 on TV. I remember thinking to myself "Why would somebody want to find an old box under some bushes?". Later on I discovered the deeper meaning of geocaching and bought the Garmin Colorado I still use. Soon I was hooked :-) Where and when did you hear about geocaching the first time?
  5. I found 102 before I placed my first cache.
  6. I have some more examples on my website: Guide-To-Geocaching
  7. I can't see the problem. If it was INSIDE the book store it would be another situation ;-)
  8. I dont think it's ethical correct to place a cache that near a grave. There are plenty of other places to hide a cache. Let the dead people rest in peace.
  9. Never heard of it, but I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with 6 feet...
  10. I think you need to be a premium member to download the GPX files...
  11. I personally tend to be more inactive in the winter time. But that's just me being lazy. Some of my best experiences was in bad weather, so there really is no excuse not to go
  12. When I bring my kids, we usually trade some toys, pens, stickers etc.
  13. Haha that's a great story I have heard about people finding caches by accident, but only active caches listed on the website. Congrats with your FTF
  14. Ticks, nettles, small bruises and once I slided down a muddy hill... nothing serious though
  15. My first geocache was one placed by some local boy scouts. It was placed deep inside a bush with very long thorns. When I spotted the cache I just had to go for it - no matter how much I hurt my self I will never forget it that's for sure!
  16. I personally can't see the problem. It sounds like a creative idea. I could imagine worse things
