I think kids have a impact on caching for some people if the kids have sports they play-then alot of the time little or no caching will get done during thoses times of year.I all so think more caching gets done in Texas during the Fall and Winter months becase of the lack of poison ivy,snakes,bugs and heat. Well we came-we saw-and I only did 3 caches in you great City of New Orleans and 1 in Lafayette -we had fun and I came back with info to do 5 virtuals and I have posted 3 of the 5-hope you all don't mind.The local caches won't have any trouble finding them-easy,but the visiting cachers should have fun. Here is what I doing I'm making my own wooden coins with red stamps and 2x2x3/4 square wood I haven't printed any I waiting on my other stamp.It going to have: GeoVamp (a bat ) www.geocaching.com on one side and symbol for luck and the word luck on thr other. I'v placed 42 caches and archived 10 and I'v found 228 as of today.I'v worked my geo-behind off on all of them and it is hard to maint.that many caches,granted some are virtuals and don't need to be maint.but I put out my first cache 3 days before I found one and it still gets hits.

1.Used golf balls in any cache...are you that broke. 2.Lighters in cache...go ahead put something that maks fire in the woods. 3.When people don't put the lid on you cache and it gets wet...why do you just pour your bottle of water in before go. 4.Food like beef jerkie or a package of Twinkes...I always trade for green food. 5.People who drive to slow on the highway...I'm not saying you sould speed just go the speed LIMIT. My wife(msdark) and I are planning to renew our wedding vows on Saturday,Nov 16th around 3:00 pm and we want to make it a cache event.Call it something like Msdark & GeoVamp's Wedding Renewal Cache Event,not set on the name yet.We love caching so much and the cachers to,and all our friend in the NTGA(North Texas Geocaching Assoc)we just wanted to share it all with you. We where hoping that this was the first cache of this kind,but we did not know.We still have not ironed it all out and not sure where but that will work out and we will post a page when it all comes together. I do know this we are both going to be wearing camo of some kind and one of the cakes is going to be shaped like a GPS. ALSO YOU ARE ALL INVITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This tread is a little old but a saw it and had to tell you all about what I found.There are these little brushes you buy at the pet store called a Cat burr brush,they are square and have short little metal brisles that are angled.The best burr remover I have ever found-even works on leg hair. I think the best way to make sure that travel bugs complete there missions is to put a copy of there cache page with them in a Ziploc.If some how the cache page is lost than it is easy to print a new one.I have a travel bug hotel in the Dallas area and I put it right on the cache page"please put a copy of the travel bugs cache page and the travel bug in a Ziploc before placing in the hotel".It seems to work well and it is simple. I've archived 10 caches since I started caching that seems like alot to me and it kills me to archive a cache.I've done it for lot's of differnt reasons,theft,losing them nature or pulling some to keep the peace.How many and what where your reasons?
