    Nomex

    Old Hippy & Granny LE

    Podcacher

    Team de Zaanhoeve

    SWAG 2006

    Leipzig Event Black Nickel

    Garmin Grand Opening - Chicago

    Atlantic Canada Geocaching - PEI

Atlantic Canada Geocaching - New Brunswick

    Atlantic Canada Geocaching - Newfoundland

Have HTF local cacher coins to trade for the like, various GW5 coins and more. Trade list linked below.

That Podcacher coin is gonna be tough to find a trade for. Can't imagine there are much more than a dozen out in circulation at this time.

If Sonny & Sandy from Podcacher aren't willing to trade, I'd suggest listening to the Podcacher podcast and try winning one in one of there contests.

  2. Hi all, just wanted to share a picture of my newest FIMO token. I will be at GW5 and the Meet and Greet Poker Event for those of you that would like to trade. I will also have 15 or so necklace FIMO tokens of a different sort if you are interested. I will be the shy one wandering around with Marky&Joani :(

Quality is poor, sorry, actual token is very vibrant and shiny

I will be looking for you at GW5. Love your work. I get so many comments from people about your other tokens I have.

  3. I have a couple of questions...

    3) On a more sensitive note, has anyone else had any trouble with deadbeat traders? I have had about three trades arranged in the last few months where I've sent mine out but never received the nickel from them. I've sent a couple of reminder emails, but I've not had any response. I don't want to name names and I REALLY don't want to think badly of others because I know there could be any number of reasons. I was just wondering whether this is a real problem or if it's an isolated incident.

    4) Anyone have any tips on how to get good close up photos of wooden nickels? My standard digital camera doesn't want to focus that close. How do others do it?

On the subject of deadbeat traders, can't say I've much of a problem there. Maybe 1 time.

As for the closeup photo, must digital cameras have a macro mode. If you have a mode selector, look for a single flower icon. Otherwise, take a picture from as close as you can with the most zoom you can.

  4. Found mine in a cache a couple months back. Inquired to Team Fisur and got strange " We don't discuss CoinFusion" reply. So, I emailed Moun10bike. He explained it was a joint project by the original geocoin creators to put out a coin. Simple enough I guess.

  5. Okay here is my question. I sent out my first geocoin last month in Aruba. Someone picked it up and hasn't sent it out again. By looking at their profile they have been to several caches and even released some tb's. What is the proper etiquette here? Do I just send a note to the cacher asking the status of my coin or keep waiting? I'm not sure how long to wait before sending an email. Any suggestions?

I suggest, "Let them go and watch". My first coin out just got placed after 7 months in the hands of a cacher. A long story that I don't want to be scolded for. Some players just don't feel they need to place them in a reasonable amount of time. I won't be letting anymore out for a long time, if ever again.

So, set them free. If they come back.... lol
