  4. haha nope - so far we have what links the films Batman, Spiderman and the Bourne Identity. If you can't get it after this clue you should be certified! I remember this...well at least I remember the problems surounding the release of Spiderman as I think it was released as a 12 so my little lad wasn't allowed to see it. I'd say they were all re-classified 12A. Cheers Dave

  11. Sent you an email. If adoption isn't allowed, maybe we can get this back to the owner. Better still if you can locate the owner it would be good if he replied to my emails over the last 3 or 4 months. I can only assume that he/she has lost interest (gawiggins4) since being banned. As alice band says it is possible to adopt trackables but I need the owners cooperation, unless someone higher-up can overide this requirement. Lets get this bug doing what it should be doing....travelling [] Cheers Dave
  12. That was the reason for starting this thread in the first place, I don't want or need a souvenir. I realised that the member was banned but it seems a shame that the bug has to die too. Lots of people have spent time moving it along the way and it has clocked up over 4000 miles. Would it not be possible for me to adopt it so that it can live a little longer? Who has the last say before I thow it in the bin? Cheers Dave
  13. Keystone, Thanks for virtually moving the bug... However the bugs page will not let me log it as it still says it's locked and directs me to a page saying that the site is not accepting any more logs on this bug! Cheers Dave
  14. I have not yet had a reply from Eartha either in this thread or from an email I have sent direct... Can anyone else help? Cheers Dave
  15. Just a guess... Could it be...... "You-are-getting-sleepy" Cheers Dave
  16. SP, Big congrats on your Millennium for the New Year. Cheers Dave
  17. Hi, I am a UK based cacher. Whilst on holiday in southern France this summer I picked up a TB belonging to a US cacher gawiggins4. I have been unable to log the TB as it seems that this member is "Banned"! I have tried contact him numerous times but have had no reply whatsoever. The TB in question is "angel stone" TBK0QQ. I can't log it out of the cache because it is "Locked" so it still shows in the caches inventory even though I have had it in my caching bag since August. I would like to adopt it if such a thing is possible.... Anyone know how to go about it??? I really don't want to just put it in the bin as it has 4427.6mi under it's belt already. Cheers Dave
  18. Public Disclaimer: I have no knowledge of Geoswag and was purely making the point that the best way to keep your main email address safe from ending up on mailing lists is to never use it with any online company or organization. It is quite simple to get a googlemail account and use that for such things. The googlemail account can be set up to feed your real address so that you don’t even have to check it. When the “Spam” starts to get a problem just cancel the googlemail account and set up anew one. Easy. Cheers Dave
  19. HH, Unfortunately because you are one of their customers these annoying emails are not strictly "Spam". Generally it is unwise to send unsubscribe emails to any automated system as this only confirms that your email address is still live and somebody actually reads it's content. Sending "unsubscribe" emails generally increases "Spam" and adds your name to saleable lists for other unscrupulous companies to use. Always use a disposable email account for Internet transactions. Cheers Dave
  20. 300 yay! Nice one PUP "you Anorak" Only just read your text or I'd of started the thread myself... Cheers Dave
  21. Cacher B can log it with a clear conscience. Go on then, why has cacher B credited with owning/hiding it on the cache page if he had nothing to do with it whatsoever in the first place????... Sounds like Cacher A and Cacher B are trying to wind people up a bit ! Cheers Dave
  22. Very very true Hazel, and it also cuts down your bar bill..... a teeny tiny bit Only joking....again. Cheers Dave Hee hee - yeah there is that!!! Mind you - if it's a school night Sally Smirnoff would not be out to play! Only a guess, but it's a while since you left school, I'd say....

  24. It's not just a case of being competitive... 1) if you do it for a challenge as you how do you measure your acheivement or monitor your progress? 2) do you want to be associated with a bunch of people that cheat themselves? I know it goes on but I can't condone it because it cheapens the whole concept in my eyes. Cheers Dave
