CACHE COP... on abandoned caches!
4wheelin_fool replied to JPreto's topic in General geocaching topics
That is a THROWDOWN!!!! You should really read the GUIDELINES and learn how to play the game!!!! I don´t know what is worse, logging fake FOUND IT or placing a THROWDOWN... It's also what girly men do. Real men post DNFs. -
killer bees/wasps and lamp post caches

Just be careful when you lift that skirt without permission.. -
It is deadly. Geocachers should carefully inspect the cache before eating it. Cleaning with a light detergent and rinsing should be sufficient. Log books may be high in fiber, but they should be placed in a steamer for several minutes before ingesting. Thanks for bumping this, here is a delightful recipe I ran across just recently:

Ammo boxes should be banned

Italic font is girly. It's a romance font, meant to attract girls. Italic comes right from Italy and romantic comes from Rome. Look at how slanted the tower of Pisa is, it's definitely italic. -

Yes they do. You are going to the wrong parties. -

No that's not the reason. Read the enfire thread carefully and then reply. BTW I am not a girly man, but a very butch lesbian. -

You guys have obviously not read the entire posts. This is one of those times where you have to read through the whole thing. And if you did-you'd see that that ammo cans are bad. Opposing viewpoints are welcome, although in my opinion you are correct. Ammo cans are very bad, and should be spanked. -
munzee stickers the end of geocaching?
4wheelin_fool replied to Evil Tom's topic in General geocaching topics
So if a geocacher places a cache right where a well established letterbox is, the letterboxer should trash the geocache ? Well if they don't, the letterbox will soon become filled up with geocacher signatures instead of stamps, and it's own stamp will disappear. I've seen this occur several times, and the letterbox is effectively trashed from geocachers. The world is certainly wide enough to accommodate all of these games without any being placed on top of each other. What's another 50 feet? Sheesh. -

I don't think an NA would be useful, but the owner should be notified if he didn't place it there. Showing non-geocachers the location of hides often causes them to disappear. -

Agreed. The guy is an idiot for giving away hide spots. It's a local problem. Munzees aren't catching on and should not be mentioned in the forum. -

You know...this had not previously occurred to me. I'm gonna start carrying around an ammo can for personal protection. Great idea! Thanks! They also can be mistaken for stoves. Stoves are hot and can cause burns. Yes, this is bad. Very bad. http://www.ammocanstove.com/ -

That's correct. A child could certainly untie their shoelace, tie it to the ammo can and whip it around in a giant circle above their head like a mace or a flail. This has a major potential for causing serious injuries. Although a film pot could be filled with gunpowder, its likely to get wet and be of no harm. I cant tell you the number of times I've gotten my foot dangerously jammed in an ammo can when my steel toed boots gave out, while film pots can be digested rather nicely with some olive oil and a little garlic. Take that spiked ball off and substitute an ammo can, and there could be some real problems. -
I also didn't find anything in 2003 because I dropped my garmin e-map off of a cliff face while rappelling. It was the exact spot where the scene in Deliverance was filmed of the guy holding a shotgun who was impaled with an arrow on the top of a cliff after Drew was shot. Today, the area by rainbow falls, is blocked off for climbing by the Talluah gorge state park system, although there is still a 1965 thunderbird still resting vertically on the other side of the gorge in the woods.

As his avatar, he chose the symbol for Anonymous. I'm sticking with troll... There once was a poster named anonymous many years ago. He was very popular until he posted a pic which showed him to be a young kid. After that he disappeared, but I do know that he was excellent with computers...

The idea of any public land was considered communist before the creation of national parks, as most public areas only existed due to the generosity of wealthy beneficiaries. Ironically those same pinkos supply the grease that keeps the capitalist machine running smooth, and without them it would seize up, and would be just as bad as the other extreme of complete communism as most of the Marxist planks have already been installed in the country anyhow. You can put any label on it that you please, but trespassing is simply disrespect, which is exactly why muggles may get vicious.

would have been perfect except for the stupid add.. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=323971 It is disingenuous and rude to post what looks like a link to one site, when in fact it hides a link to another. Unless you are constructing phishing emails. ETA: revealed subversive link Rock rolling is considered humor to most of the planet, especially when intended to lighten up a troll thread. That's the same thing that Nira mentioned in post #9 and explains a lot of what I've noticed. The only other way that basalt can interfere with a compass is from a gravity induced impact.

Logging your own cache as a find
4wheelin_fool replied to _Wolverine's topic in General geocaching topics
Why? It's your toy. You can play with it whatever way feels best. I'll have to ask my girlfriend if she thinks that finding my own is considered cheating. -
That ability was taken away because often a moderator would lock the thread, but the OP would sometimes open it back up to add more. Bumped threads can cause confusion when someone's post from 7 years ago gets answered by multiple people.

Picture yourself in a boat on a river with tangerine trees and marmalade skies. Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly, "A girl with kaleidoscope eyes". Cellophane flowers of yellow and green towering over your head. Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes and she's gone. Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies, everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers that grow so incredibly high. Newspaper taxis appear on the shore waiting to take you away. Climb in the back with your head in the clouds and you're gone. Picture yourself on a train in a station with plasticine porters with looking glass ties. Suddenly someone is there at the turnstyle -the girl with the kaleidoscope eyes... -
Favorite point awarded! It may be too early for that. Perhaps we all could be helpful and point him towards the help center.

You should not move any cache to a better spot. You should not seek any cache that makes you feel uncomfortable. You should not seek any cache that makes others uncomfortable. There may be a better time to look. Kids who are geocaching with their parents may enjoy it. You should log your finds. It is okay to mention your town. You should not move any cache to a better spot. You should not move any cache to a better spot. You should not move any cache to a better spot. You should not move any cache to a better spot. You should not move any cache to a better spot. Hope that covers it. Have fun!
