I've just started getting into geocaching, and as a result I've dusted down my old yellow garmin etrex.
It's giving me a few headaches though, as it's 113m out at a bearing of 306degrees. This means I can use it for caching, but I have to find a specific point which isn't at the end of the arrow. It's not too hard, most caches I've looked for are on a path, so I just wait until I hit 113m, then try to get the bearing right.
I'm after a better solution though. Does anyone know if it can be fixed. So far I've tried leaving it in my garden for 2 hours to see if it works out the problem, but it didn't. I don't want to reset it as I don't want to lose all my waypoints, and I no longer have a computer with a serial port to dump the data from it.
Is it time to start saving up for a new one?
