  1. I find Blu-tack works wonders in good weather. If it's windy, a dash of PVA is useful too...
  2. Never thought there might be such a thing until I read this thread! The theme's now gracing my iPAQ 2210, and very nice it is too - thanks for the link!
  3. Not sure of the post code, but the pub used to be my local not too many years ago, it's roughly here. Not sure if we can come I'm afraid, diary doesn't reach that far in advance. Can't commit to the buffet but will probably be able to pop in for a drink or two with the kids
  4. I did indeed, and I'm hooked! As is our 4 year old....even the grandparents, up for the bank holiday, loved it! It was a fine late spring day too and it was great to find such a pretty location only a couple of miles from home. We've lived here on and off for nearly 5 years and had never been in that direction. Took the harmonica travel bug and plan to help it on it's way to Dublin It obviously likes Guinness so we'll buy it a drink to celebrate our first find....plays well too!
  5. My First Log Not terribly successful I'm afraid....going to try an easier one tomorrow if I can. Not feeling too good this evening, might be coming down with something but I'm sure the fresh air will do me good Chris
  6. Wooooo! My eTrex arrived this morning! I'm off to play
  7. Yay, that's a lovely village! I used to live in Langley Park (Ash Street) when I was a student! That wasn't too long ago - I went to Sheffield for a year in 2003/4, but since last August we've been back.
  8. I'm in Bowburn, so well placed for Durham city as well as the motorway...which is both a blessing and a curse! I'm married with 2 young boys and hopefully they will enjoy criss-crossing the countryside with me!
  9. Thank you all for your kind welcome - I'm counting the hours till I can get out there! Doesn't help that Royal Mail's website appears to be down, so I can't track and trace I'll be sure to be in touch with any questions...thanks again! Chris
  10. Hello everyone, Thought I would pop in and introduce myself. I'm Chris and I live in Durham - I'm a keen walker but never used a GPSr before. I decided to join the 21st century and ordered a Garmin eTrex to try geocaching with...hopefully it should be here tomorrow and I can't wait to spend the bank holiday out hunting! That's it really...sorry to bore you with such a trivial post! Chris
