Hello MrCachly, First of all thanks for the app, I bought it as soon as Groundspeak sent newsletter about it, it's a very nice app that was really needed. second, I don't know if it's the right place to add suggestions or remarks but I did not find other thread. Well, the thing is I sometime log my (very) old visits at some Waymarks, but scrolling to the right date is very painful when the visit was years ago (even months ago) would it be possible to change how it is done on the phone ? On screenshot you will see that you need to scroll day to day, of course you can scroll fast but it's still very imprecise. Could it be something like choose day then month then year ? Cecticide

Thanks you everyone for your inputs. I now understand that it might be too much/common in the US when I read : I guess I was France/belgium/Luxembourg focused, where each time I need to post something, it's a pain to find a mailbox. But the idea of FamilieFrohne backed by fi67 is nice, maybe only focus on the vintage/old mailboxes that are still in use. I know there are also some in France & Belgium : here for exemple. I need to search if this old mailbox category can be world wide, "EU centric" or focused on a specific country. I still don't know all rules but there I'm sure you can help. How one is in or not in the category, what could be the criteria to in/exclude. Should it be linked to the UK victorian boxes ? maybe not when I read Bear and Ragged comments. Thanks for your words ScroogieII I still have lots of Waymark to create in my areas, lots of WWII monuments to yet in the game. It's a good companion to geocaching activity as I realize many places I've been caching have Waymarks for which I took pictures

Hello Waymarkers, I recently went back into Waymarking since the waymarkly app has been released. It's a lot easier with it now, and I discovered many things. Now I wanted to post a Waymark for a postal service mailbox near me but found that no category existed for it. I saw that it exits in UK for Victorian mailboxes but nothing elsewhere.. What do you think about this category? I like the idea that they are everywhere, easily recognized and have local specificities such as design or color. I started a group but before going any further any advice is welcome Thanks

Bonjour, pour ma part je n'ai pas de problème. Avec la dernière version de l'appli geocaching (6.2.1) sur un iPhone 4 tout s'affiche correctement. Peut être qu'il y a une option de recherche à cocher ou décocher dans vos paramètres ?

Pas de problème pour moi (du coté du nord de la France), peut être que ce sont les coordonnées qui ne sont pas toujours bonnes ? Sinon une éruption solaire ? D'habitude l'iPhone me donne les coordonnées à 5m près et le Garmin, jusqu’à 3-4m en rase campagne. La précision peut aussi dépendre de la présence d'arbre (en foret) et de la couverture nuageuse, mais je ne sais pas dans quelle mesure exactement. Disons que ça élargie un peu le champs de recherche

Bonjour, le plus simple est de faire une pocket query, on peut aussi en faire en regardant sur la carte des caches en cliquant sur "Sauvegarder en tant que Pocket Query" sur le panneau de gauche. Ensuite il suffit de la télécharger sur son GPS ou smartphone.

Sur l'application officiel de geocaching pour iOS, il y a la possibilité d'enregistrer les caches et les cartes dans une "liste local". Tu peux donc avoir accès à tout ce dont tu as besoin sans accès réseau (wifi, 3G, etc..), ce qui est aussi pratique à l'étranger quand tu n'as pas envie de faire du hors-forfait ! Dans mon cas, le smartphone marchait très bien, mais au bout d'un moment le GPS de rando est vite devenu indispensable.
