  3. Ohoh. Thanks for the tip. I have now learned that Washington DC is not in Washington state.
  4. Sorry about my lack of knowledge. Maybe I have to visit sometimes Of course I don't have the coords yet, but I have a suspicion that the cache would be close to the NZ embassy, so that would be washington DC Thanks for asking
  5. Is there anyone, preferably in and around Washington, who like to team up for a multi continent cache from New Zealand? 7. I live in New Zealand. In the past we could select on "region" North Island and South Island. I can't select this anymore. KM's is not an option as some spots on the south island are closer than others in the North Island. Secondly with the Pocket queries you can easily select caches by placed date....would be great if that was possible too as I use it for a lot of my queries.
  8. I try to locate this COG WHEEL...but sorry I don't know exactly where to click
  9. I like to update the first page of the profile page I have done it in the past with the edit button, but it doesn't seem to work anymore The "old" information is still there, how to update?

  14. We don't have a sdcard in our phone. We tought it is not needed ?! We have downloaded whereyougo from the androidmarket and have a couple of Wherigo's working. Don't know why now a couple of these are not working. And most of all why can't I find the whereyougo folder on the phone. It should be somewhere. (I tried with the searchbutton too) Do I overlook something?
  15. I do have the whereyougo android on my Samsung Galaxy S2. For some strange reason I can't download some cartridges. I try to find these on the phone but can't find the whereyougo file on the phone. Who knows how to solve this?
  16. If anybody have a TB that needs to go oversees. I'm flying next week to Europa and can take tb's, coins or whatever you like CHeers
  17. I have asked Garmin a couple of days ago. But still no answer I'm just a bit scared to remove current information and hoping that it will all go alright. Just scared
  18. I loaded the new version today. Bin out caching, unfortunatly same problems. I noticed also another issue: 4) You can put a filter on your GPS. I don't want to see my "question-caches". So ticked these off in the filter. But the questionsigns keeps on popping up. Of course can you solve this not to load these question-caches in the query, but I need them if I do a question-cache once in a while. Why is the filter not working? To answer the question about loading to the unit. As far as I know I just use the queries of geocaching.com.
  19. I didn't know if it was common and thought maybe I have done something wrong. I just looked on their websie. Cause I'm living in New Zealand was looking for possibilities to send an email. Cause the issues I have with the garmin where really Caching related, I thought maybe some other cacher had the same experiences. Maybe it has something to do with the map I am using.? Thanks
  20. I was also one who was (silly enough) to get the dummy cache first.....Remember the description and found the "real" cache. I do encourage such a funny caches. It is what said before: it breaks the normal caching hunt. Put the dummy back !! I love it
  21. I have my new GPS for half a year now and have some issues with it. This is my first GPS so I don't know if it's normal or not 1) If I have uploaded 2 or more queries on the GPS. Through USB cable. If I than start up my GPS it stops halfway the startup. I can't do anything anymore except getting the batteries out. If I than turn on the GPS I lost all caches. If I delete the file and upload the query again, nothing happen. I need to make a new query or wait a day to run the query again. 2) Sometimes I noticed that the accurancy of the GPS is not close to the geocache (meters difference).Even if you read in the description of the cache that the coordinates are sport on. What could be the reason that the coords are not spot on with my GPS? (not under trees, or between rocks etc) 3) Everytime when I turn my GPS on, the cursur is still on the last location I have visited. It takes a long, long time till it turns to the place where I am at the moment. This is a bit irritating, cause you need to wait a while till you can start your walk. Thanks for your advice
  22. Thanks for replying, It was just that I didn't know what common practice was. I don't want to make a bit issue of it, just share some thoughts
  23. What if you discover that a cacher did "claim" a find on your cachesite, but didn't sign the logbook. In first instance I just asked if it was easy or dificult to find. (because of GPS reception). He said it was an easy find for him. For me it was a bit strange because I had only difficult and dnf's before. But yeah maybe it was easy for him. So I asked a bit more specific question about the cache. No reaction anymore. I'm a bit in limbo what to do. Find or is it a do not find, because he didn't sign the log ?!
  24. ohhhhhhh what a great idea. Ik like this cache...unfortunatly can't go for it or I need to make it FTFFAF First to Find from a Far Distance
  25. In your cache it was a really honest FTF. Because the mentioned FTF'ers where out of town otherwise they would have this one too (as they admitted). So don't worry, you can be proud on that FTF and are a really winner. I don't believe in restrict a cache to only your "friends". Only want to give others a chance. Many cachers don't attemp anymore, I want that feeling back what others are saying on this forum. That you meet each other at a FTF. Talk and laugh with each other in stead of the obsession running from 1 cache to another cacher to be the FTF on all, just to make your list longer.
