  1. We tried it a number of times today....we run it every Sunday and it's been more that 7 days by the listed time of the last run....
  2. Same with us. AND....we just paid Groundspeak YESTERDAY for our renewal...and this happened TODAY. We've been paying month to month for almost 4.5 years so you might say we are paying more for our subscription for this treatment.
  3. Check http://www.precentral.net/homebrew-apps/geocache-locator at Precentral.com Looks like it's just a front-end for the browser, or a screen-scrapper app (a TOS violation, unless they have GS permission). That's great news if it's in the works. Would you be able to share your source?
  4. Are there any plans to port the iPhone Geocaching app over to the Palm Pre with its Web OS? Or will this be like Wherigo and never see the light of day for any other platform? Those of us who cannot or will not utilize Windows-based smart devices or switch mobile carriers to purchase an iPhone seem to be put on the back burner for a long time, or, ignored. Any insight into this from TPTB would be greatly appreciated!
  5. Due to the quirky nature of the forum's search engine, a search for "Palm Pre" produces an error as being too vague... so please forgive us if this is posted already.... With the iPhone, one can utilize a powerful and very well conceived (by appearances to a non-iPhone owner) application that Makes Life Easier for those who can own that device. For Blackberry owners or Owners of Windows-based smart devices, they have the ability to utilize apps to do Wherigo... Is there anything Groundspeak plans on doing for Palm OS owners, specifically in this case, folks eyeing the Palm Pre as a suitable new smart device? By appearances the Palm Pre should be as robust as the iPhone and "user-friendly" for things such as Wherigo... For those of us who either have Palm smartphones or, as is evident by a LOT of folks who buy them and post about them here, owners of other Palm devices (because they are inexpensive and are stable) we have to sit patiently by and watch as development dollars are utilized for Things Other Than Palm. While we have a Choice to purchase such devices, such as the iPhone and Windows based smart devices, there are those of us loyal to the Palm OS operating system much like those who choose Anything But Windows for their home computing. So we don't go buy these iPhones or WM things. For the most part Palm OS is stable and works and since it isn't WM you seldom here the same issues that plague some WM owners.... So, Groundspeak, to reiterate, any thoughts about developing anything for the Palm Pre or Palm devices?
  6. Not yet, we are waiting on the new article from the Cleburne Times Review, and see what comes out of that. We are planning on a CITO event, but want to see what reaction comes out of the new article. It seems like the reporter got lots of feedback on the first article and he actually contacted me because of it. I gave him lots of info about caching in Tx as well as several examples of great cemetary caches, including the first cache placed in Tx. GC62 Tombstone Thanks for taking the time and effort to do this! We appreciate it!
  7. Fortunately it is back to "normal" now. Guess the lesson learned is to wait some more and never seek advice here since none will be given except for two teams.
  8. Thank you to those of you who chose to reply with nonsense. It must be nice to live in a perfect world where you don't have these problems.
  9. Last week it "ran" and we didn't get it...it wasn't blocked by SPAM guards or firewalls, or servers or gremlins. This week it showed something entirely different and QUITE incorrect. So now it won't even run! Groundspeak, would you mind explaining this? We have over 2100 finds so this is obviously a problem.
  10. We ran ours like we always do on Sundays and it said it ran....and it never came. Checked the Spam folder. Not there; it's never gone there anyway. Checked the server. Not there but you never know. Haven't been on Comcast in almost three months so that's (finally) not an issue. The My Finds PQ used to be the most reliable and quickest PQ to get... So in our case it isn't showing up at all. Didn't think it warranted a new topic so added to this one.
  11. It may have been semi-auto. Now when I select the TB from a cache page so I can retrieve it to my inventory, it takes about one full minute to get to the page to log the entry. Hence, 20 caches logged equals about an extra 20 minutes. Before the fully automatic recalculation of mileage it only took a couple of seconds (max) to get to the TB page to log the retrieval. I wouild love to be able to turn off this feature. Except for times when the site was slow, it has never taken more than a few seconds for a TB page to load for me. Is your account throttled? Our account isn't throttled and we have the same issue. It takes it sometimes a full minute for it to go to the bug's page to pull it out. Pappy'sPosse has a totally different broadband provider than us so there's no correlation there. Like he said, when we log a lot of caches it takes a lot longer than it used to since the auto recalculation started.
  12. If I understand this right, the mileage automatically calculates and updates when you select a TB. I noticed that this now takes over a minute to do this and get to my "personal" TB page and really slows down the time it takes to log a number of caches. I used to just wait until I had logged all 20 or 30 or however many finds I had before I recalculated the mileage of my "bug". It now does it on its own each time and adds a lot of time to my putting in my logs. Would it be possible to turn off this "auto" recalculate mileage and do it manually when we desire? It should also save on processing time on the server also. Thanks... We have the same issue....when your personal TB has a lot of miles on it it seems like it takes an inordinate amount of time to get to the TB's page when you click on it's link from the cache page. Can this be made a setting in an individual's personal settings instead of a globally applied solution?
  13. How about the fact that it was easy to find archived caches? It was great to use when scouting a new area to hide caches and then see why something was archived in the first place...eg., high muggle activity, etc.
  14. We are selling our eTrex Legend for $100 which includes shipping in the Continental U.S. It is in excellent shape, never been dropped, never gotten wet, and has always been used in the neoprene Garmin case we bought for it. It comes with: the case, the serial cable, the quick start guide, and the owner's manual. We can accept payments through PayPal. Thanks!
