  1. I wasn't sure which topic for this to go to. None seemed to be appropriate. I found out the problem, it was the batteries. I was thinking it had it's own built-in battery. - Blossom
  2. When it's plugged in, it's good, but as soon as I unplug it, it stays lit for a second or two and then goes off, same as starting. It would start and seem to freeze. I've concluded that it wasn't charged and it doesn't seem to be charging. How do I charge it? - Blossom
  3. I'm updated it to v2.15, unfortunately, the update takes over half the space. - Blossom
  4. I'm trying to update my Magellan eXplorist GC, it's on v1.7. When I click the UpdateTool.exe and I get the following message: "E:\App\Update\UpdateTool.exe is not a valid Win32 application." This computer runs Windows 7: Professional SP1 x64 This is the only computer that runs Windows, the rest run Ubuntu 12.04 x64 (Linux). - Blossom
  5. It says "sign in with Facebook". How do I link them? - Blossom
  6. I think Stephanie Jewers invented GeoCaching, some time ago. She is a die-hard GeoCacher! Still today, she GeoCaches almost every day. If she didn't invent it, than I don't know who did!
  7. I assume he means the Groundspeak app. Yes, I was. I will look for those Android Market cards. Does anyone know if they're available in Canada?
  8. I want the full app, but can't pay for it, because the Android Market, you pay via Google Wallet, which doesn’t accept PayPal. I have no credit card, so I can only use PayPal, and the prepaid VISA cards don't work 99% of the time. I guess they only work on some sites? Can you buy Android apps elsewhere?
  9. What is weird is that, if I goto upgrade my membership. There is only one option: credit card, but if I goto gift someone a membership, there is a dropdown menu, that says Credit Card or PayPal. I only have PayPal, so I found a way to gift membership myself.
  10. All the computers have Linux. Is there a way to update it via Linux?
  11. I don't know either, I think there used to be a way to add them, something like going to the search site and doing something, but can't remember what. It dosen't have that option anymore. I thought they did, I probably have it confused with something else. I have this on my toolbar: But I don't recall how I got it. It doesn't show as either an Extension or a Plugin.
  12. What I did was, I extracted the EXE file, and replaces the files with the ones in the EXE files, took about 20 minutes. The only thing, is that it contained a couple files, ad some pictures that I the GPS storage didn't already have. So Ihave a couple extra files and not sure which folder they go into. I have restarted and so far it seems to work good.
  13. I thought they did, I probably have it confused with something else.
  14. I ran it and got the same thing, a WinZip box extracting the file, but not sure where. I get this box which appears for a few about 5 seconds which it appears to copy stuff. Then this appears for a split second, then goes off.
  15. The USB was connected at the time. Actually the one I downloaded was for version 1.4 or 1.6. I have downloaded the one from that page.
  16. I went to the website and click the bar where it says to download, but it my computer. It's an EXE file. I double click it and it syas extracting files, but nothing seems to happen on my GPS. What am I doing wrong. I have the file on my desktop.
  17. Hi, I was wondering where can I find the look to download the groakspeak/GeoCaching toolbar for my Fox. I thought the website had one, but I can't find it. I'm using Firefox 11.0. ~ Clove
  18. Something to do for a past time when I'm bored anf got nothing better to do... I also like collecting things. Soon, I will collect as many caches in all locations in the HRM (Halifax Regional Municipality). I want to have as many to fill up a room... I've collected 4 so far. So far, I only do it with my sister and friend, Stephanie. When I either get a GPS or upgrade my phone to Android (I have a really old phone now (SAMSUNG SCH-N150) and download the app and I will be Geocaching like crazy. Hopefully, I'll be getting my phone by the end of the week.
  19. Mii and my friends cheat all the time... Wii use a GPS device and tells us exactly where the geocache is...
  20. OK, I understand. Now, what exactly are traveling bugs for, like the kind that are put on cars? I was at a geocahe event yesterday an a few people had them on their cars there. People took pictures of them, I guess it was to get he number to log them.
  21. What I mean is, like a car, can someone car be a geocache? The reason I ask, is because I learned somewhat about tracking bugs and not sure I they are the same thing. Is a tacking bug to put on your car, but like like a geocache, except it's mobile? If it isn't, can a geocache be mobile, like a car. Sorry if this sounds dumb, I'm just trying to understand becuase I'm still pretty new to this and there are some things I don't understand.
  22. Someday a Geocacher will stop their car behind yours at a traffic light, and your Bug will get logged. Or they'll spot it at a park, and know there's another cacher around. Your car may not get a lot of Travel Bug "discovers", but it's a fun way to let people know about your hobby, and you may even interest new people in it. How do you view the log and see if anyone found your TB? Do you have to edt your profile it set it up and stuff? Forgive me, I am very new to this. Igot a Tracking Bug today, haven't putit on my car yet, because I only have a rental car for now. How do you know when other people log yours?
