  1. Congratulations on reaching 700! Major Trek & Co.

  3. Hurray Mr Nibbler does 300 caches. Congratulations
  4. Hurray Mr Nibbler does 300 caches. Congratulations
  5. We would like to thank everyone for their kind words. Thank you.
  6. It is with great sadness and regret that I have to report that The Snails will not be Caching again. Sadly Mrs Snail passed away on the 30 Nov 06. I know that whilst they were on the Caching trail they met quite a few fellow Cachers, this was always a little joke between us, Mrs Snails would say It so nice to be out all alone in the countryside and then in the second breath announce she had just met so and so.
  7. Well Done! Im looking forward to doing your Caches with my Mum & Dad. Major Trek
  8. Molrams Saddlesore1000 Serge Robert The Klever Boys Thats a ratio of 1 cacher per 60 caches found. We should be able to log these counts too. Or is that just Sad?
  9. Thanks we will be pleased to take on your cache. We are also unsure on how we actually go about adopting the cache, but we shall find out and get back to you. Since posting our reply Deceangi has been super efficient and come up with the answer before we asked the question! Thank you!
  10. We would be happy to adopt this cache if Lordelph is happy. We are based in Huntingdon so not to far away. We did the cache a year ago today and its too good to let it disappear. Of course if anyone is nearer then thats great.
  11. My parents are cachers, and they cache under the name of The Snails. My Dad is nearly 81, and my Mum is a little younger! (Its not polite to ask a lady her age! )
  12. I have found a number of caches concealed in camo bags and all have been fine, as they tend to be, on the whole, hard wearing. They also make the cache harder to find due to the lack of uniform lines the typical cache box has, thus adding to the enjoyment of the hunt. It’s the black bin liner or supermarket bag that makes cache retrieval unpleasant. According to the guidelines linked at the start of this thread, it states; ‘Cache containers should not be placed inside a polythene bag’. Camo bags are generally canvas or nylon thus allowing water to escape, slowly and therefore, arguably allowed. This is just my view. I’m off now to remove the poly bags from my caches!!!
  13. Yes, because whoever finds it: say in another cache, by the side of the road (or even on ebay ) they can grab it and then drop it into another cache. Thanks Boardslider. I'm guessing you found one of yours on ebay????????????? Now thats what I call a cache or cash!
  14. I appreciate your help, thats very kind. I hope the event goes well. Happy caching.
  15. If you have a TB MIA and you’ve had your funeral, but suddenly it reappears what happens then? Is it business as usual?
  16. I agree with Pharisees approach and suggest; to arms Cachers, name and shame those who wantonly (I love this word) use the unmentionable plastic bags.
  17. Fair point. As the Northwest is probably similar in size to Western Europe. Anyway I believe my cousin lives in Portland, Oregon. Of course I could just ask my Uncle for his phone number, this may be difficult as the last time I spoke to him or indeed saw him we were both around 5 years old. I guess when you put into context maybe I should just get his phone number. I’ll have to stop drinking the wine whilst reading the forums. Thanks anyway.
  18. Recently my parents attended my cousins wedding, where they got into a conversation, with the groom’s brother, on the topic of Geocaching. Of course they (Mum & Dad) don’t cache and therefore totally failed to get his user name. So, bit of a long shot, if your surname is Brett and your parents live in Northamptonshire UK give us a shout.
  19. I introduced my parents to geocaching, and they cache under the name of The Snails. My Mum is 73 and my Dad is 81 this year. Are there any cachers out there that can beat this?
  20. Congratulations to Mr Nibbler on achieving 200 caches found. 200 caches in a year, good going.
