  1. Did the Zip Code lookup disappear from the advaced tab? Where can I find it now?
  2. Anyone know how to look up the found cache list on a Magellan Exp 600? I believe this is possible after logging caches with a check mark.
  3. Thanks Mizdeeds. I saw what Fox N Hounds did for Team WBFD <post 1673> and I like that more. Can you work in thus type of font and a compass?
  4. Just Checking back in regarging an Avatar for MedallionHunter. Post #1605 from March 6th. Any ideas out there?
  5. Nice work going on here. I'm looking for an Avatar suitable for making into a T Shirt or Hat in addition to the websites. Here are the examples I have come up with so far. I like the geocaching stick guy and the color palatte but want to try to work in a cool compass logo too. Medallion Hunter comes from the St Paul Winter Carnival treasure hunt, but a winter scene is not what I'm looking for. The below sample images represent my tastes. I live in Minnesota and spend time canoeing and caching. From this forum I am especially fond of Geocyclist and Kasma Gang cool fonts. http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/thumb/925a...0ce3ee28c29.jpg http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/thumb/e334...67a935a88b0.jpg http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/thumb/2c37...840224d691c.jpg
  6. How do you get the .gs file into the exp? Each time I export from GSAK, the file is there but the EXP can read it? What's the best method?
  7. Dear Fester, I see your a local. I had to recalibate my 600 once I got it with the help from Tech support. All upload with Geo Mgr work fine as well as GSAK. If you still have the unit prepare to reset everything. From the map, click Right, Left, Right, Left with the joystick. A small box should pop up. Type in 21 for re-cailbrating the compass and 22 for the temp screen. Follow the instructions on the screen. Let me know if this helps.
  8. Now that I tested both Topo 3D and Direct Route I find that Parks show up better on DR. Parks are a solid green block which is easy to see. On Topo 3D they show up as small grid dots (not solid). When I checked with Magellan, they said it was because Topo had to draw the lines through parks and that is why the parks show up differently. Anyone else experience this differences in the parks?
  9. I have seen research on the Tennessee GCA http://www.mtgc.org/robertlipe/DirectRoute/ that the Direct Route software takes over some settings each time such as alarms, difficultty plotting a route to a cache (need a street) and forces you to re-route once you get to the park. Assuming urban/semi urban caching what have others seen after loading Direct Route? Also, with either software, is the color better for parks & land masses? i.e. greens and yellows? I use Topo 3D now (older version) and the map is mostly white with blue lakes and roads are black or red. I've seen Garmin with much more robust colors. Wondering if it is the old Topo software....
  10. I have a new Meridian Color and want to get the most out of it. I am wondering which software works best for Geocaching and getting to geocaches. Any thoughts on how I might use Magellen Topo 3D USA or Direct Route differently?
  11. I read these posts and still have trouble. I followed the directions and can see my stats but cannot save it into my profile. Any ideas? Also, within my biography, I want to list 1st cache, 100th cache etc. in a vertical format that I see on other profiles. However, no matter how I enter the info, the text wraps and will not put in the spaces I try. Any ideas?
