  1. Okay to clear some stuff... I am truly grateful to fega n for offering his 45 but After having a hands on with one at my friends place it seemed inssufeicent to get one. I hope people don't think I should take the first offer that is laid down at the table. The reason I prefer garmin is because i already have experience with their products and the software is already installed on my conputer. Thanks.
  2. The reason I don't want the 45 is that it is a discontinued product, and that means a lot to me. My dad won't buy me another one...
  3. I looked the 45 up and it does not look appealing to me..thanks anyway-
  4. Well, Before I recieved my first GPS I had found about 6 caches. Once when without the GPS I found a geocache (small) thinking it was a different geocache (micro). I realized my mistake when I tried for the cache i had found but did not know. Caching without a gps is possible, but EXTREMELY HARD. Its practically impossible to find caches in the woods without a GPs. for urban caches, its possible.
  5. After losing my GPS in a VERY high muggle area, I got bummed out. I wouldn't be able to go fun geocaching anymore unless someone is willing to donate/sell for under $100 their GPS (only garmin). Please Email me if interested...
  6. Please, If anyone has found a GPS in the greater seattle area, (and it is a 60csx) it might be mine...If you think youve found it please email me...Thanks!
  7. K guys...think we are getting off topic now. Let's get back on track... So, geocaches are like people. more caches are published everyday than archived. More humans are born everyday than go up. Geocaching has been up and about for more than a decade now. It's a pretty fun hobby, or as I should say sport. It takes some physical activity as we know... However I don't think geocaching is coming to an end. It ends at that....for me...
  8. I was wondering if people had ideas for camouflage for nano caches...any ideas appreciated.
  9. I know of a cache in the sAme park as mine that doesn't have any permit evidence, vie tried contacting the owner but he hasn't replied in a few months, and he is still active now. I guess I will try contacting the reviewer.
  10. I know how you feel...Just a few days ago I was sitting at my computer and realized my Garmin 60csx wasn't in its normal spot...freaked out, and started looking EVERYWHERE (literally) but couldn't come up with it. Then I realized I probably lost it somewhere near REI while I was signing the log for a cache nearby...so I posted a note for the cache reporting a missing GPS but people came up empty handed. Then I thought it was inside the house, looked everywhere again, the car, under the carpet, even called a carpenter to smash my house walls if a possum stole the GPS! (kidding about the last one ) Anyway I am pretty bummed out...Hope I can find it b4 saturday...
  11. I have a fake dog poop cache myself...Its first in my ECS series. Its just plaster molded into a dog poop shape, waterproof spraypainted AND painted brown for 3 coats. Then I put three coats of waterproof varnish for reinforcement. Thanks for sharing!
  12. Thanks for the replies. As people now, my cache was reffering to washington state parks, which has a more...errr....let's say complicated experience. I had to wait for about two months for it to be approved, and man, it was a lota of work considering i was not aware of this process until the local reviewer contacted me and sid I had to get "special" permits for the prk. Thanks all, SR
  13. Well, ever since I got a cache in a state park with a permit, I was curious in other peoples experiences with state parks. Share?
