  1. Threads without topics seem to be friendliest I'm sticking to them Rich mobilis in mobili
  2. There's a topic here? Rich mobilis in mobili
  3. Thats the fellow! I thought I would chip in the answer because Jeremy probably isn't going to talk to you given the event that is happening in Cardiff tomorrow! Rich mobilis in mobili

  6. quote:Originally posted by Omally:Coal Hole? Luxury!! I used to have to sleep in't shoe box in't middle ot' road!! Its not so long since we last referred to that sketch. Rich mobilis in mobili
  7. quote:Originally posted by The Hungry Caterpillars:I am sorry but I have to ask if you were using your LOOX to help find the toilet or was it just one of those things Fair question! It was very much just one of those things. Outstanding stupidity basically. Rich mobilis in mobili
  8. quote:Originally posted by Lance Ambu:As for those other rapscallions... Why I oughta.. In the group of rapscallions that you "oughta.." can we also include the likes of "Norfolk and Good" (now curiously "The Goode Guys" - hmm wonder why?), "Dr Crippen" and "Scrooge" Rich mobilis in mobili
  9. quote:Originally posted by tony69:... well I poured orange juice over my E-map .... how that's another story, but I phoned Garmin and got a replacement the same day at a cost of £83.08p and a new one year warranty These GPS thingy's aren't very robust are they? I dropped my Fujitsu Siemens Loox Pocket PC down the toilet (see my post on this forum!) without lasting damage. Its amazing that it survived given the fact that orange juice can destroy a Garmin. 10. I was just a bit worried that this legendary thread was being forgotten, what with all the recent discussions etc. (note to anyone who hasn;t yet read it - there is no need to put your name on this list) Rich mobilis in mobili
  11. Yes its being slept on while all the useful comments that have been made on this forum are thought about. Rich mobilis in mobili
  12. quote:Originally posted by The Spokes:We will not be able to get to the Bash because we are rowing the length of Windermere that day 24 miles. Good luck with the rowing Spokes - sounds like hard work! Your best off doing that - everone else has been rowing the length of the UK on these forums! Rich mobilis in mobili
  13. Blimey - two days without moderators and this place is going crazy! Is this now a free-for-all? Calm down people, please! Rich mobilis in mobili
  14. quote:Originally posted by Gunther:I'm sorry if I misunderstood TheCat here. I thought he was refering to the post and not the reply - thank you for clearing up the ambiguity. Same here. Rich mobilis in mobili
  15. This is all some strange foreign language, right? Rich mobilis in mobili
  16. I don't wish to be rude but what part of Moss's message is confusing? Seems clear enough to me. Where did anyone say Moss "represented the North"? Over the time I have been caching I have always felt represented by him despite being almost as far South as you can get. Thoroughly nice bloke too. Rich mobilis in mobili
  17. Its used as a last resort to change forum subjects Rich mobilis in mobili
  18. quote:Originally posted by Dr Crippen:....... and you wonder why there was such a stink? Yes I do wonder that. I also wonder why some people enjoy creating fake IDs and posting complete rubbish just to keep the argument going but there you go. Put to bed again. Rich mobilis in mobili
  19. quote:Originally posted by Scrooge:2. I can totally understand why the cache approvers would be on the "committee", but what was the rationale behind the others? There doesn't have to be any rationale. Anyway its irrelevant now. Put to bed. Rich mobilis in mobili
  20. I strongly suspect that the link is that the moderators feel (quite rightly in my opinion) along the lines of "Why should we dedicate any more of our time to helping caching in the UK when all we get is complaint after complaint after complaint about it?" Its irrelevant whether their time input has been on GAGB or on forum moderation or on cache approval. Its still their valuable time they have invested in the activity, to very little thanks. Rich mobilis in mobili
  21. I nominate Robin Lovelock. He should be a little less controversial for some people than our ex-mods. Rich mobilis in mobili
  22. Get out of our changeing room! Rich mobilis in mobili
  23. quote:Originally posted by Team Blitz:(To be fair, I've not read any of the threads on GC:UK yet, but I heard that there is one (or more?)) Yes, its here. Rich mobilis in mobili
  24. quote:Originally posted by Chris n Maria:1. GAGB founders take the time to consider what they wish the organisations mandate to be, bearing in mind points already raised. Then, with their membership, decide if they wish to carry on. A useful post Chris. I agree with your suggestions. On number 1 specifically, I have decided not to dedicate any more time to trying to help the community. Rich mobilis in mobili [This message was edited by el10t on May 12, 2003 at 01:25 PM.]
