  1. Here's a name from the past, moved on to other things... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-20887638
  2. Looks good to me - hopefully Garmin will make a success of it. They should be able to market it well enough.
  3. Exactly the same problem here. I've also commented on it on the GSAK forums. Anyone else having difficulties?
  4. No you go ahead - I was only passing through.
  5. What a strange "discussion" or "argument" this appears to be: Person A: OSM has limitations Person B: We know OSM has limitations Person A: OSM has limitations Person B: We know OSM has limitations Person A: OSM has limitations Person B: We know OSM has limitations etc.
  6. Wow! All those people jumping on the bandwagon to tell someone off for pointing something out. Incredible behaviour.
  7. Yes of course you can play the game however you want to. Similarly I can take a break for whatever reasons I want to, right? I wasn't trying to change anyones reasons for caching, just explaining why I hadn't cached for a while as per the original question.
  8. I've been a member for seven and a half years, have less than 100 finds and can't remember when I found my last cache. Reasons for me stopping for so long include: - starting a family - busier job - degradation of cache quality and dawning realisation that some caches are in fact little more than litter - interest in other things - broken GPSr which I haven't got round to replacing - changing attitudes of cachers to numbers-based activity instead of the discovery of interesting places I haven't got round to starting again yet.
  9. Some of us who used to be cachers auditioned for the first series of Eggheads. There's a full report of our experience online.
  10. I'm not sure I agree with loads of praise for moderators who seem to do exactly what they are told without questioning why. Each to their own I suppose.
  11. I remember buying a few Hornet ammo cans. I drove to his house, loaded them into the car and posted a cheque through his letterbox.
  12. Blimey! I'm not an aviation expert but I'm sure the Wrights flew prior to 2004.

Actually they aren't GAGB representatives if they have resigned. Personally I can see their point entirely. Rich (A founder member of GAGB) Can YOU handle the Donkey?
  15. Wow! Ancient thread revival! Rich (Founder member of GAGB) Can YOU handle the Donkey?
  16. Yep - You've got jeremyp and I correctly identified. That seems like an age ago - it was my first cache find. Rich (A founder member of GAGB) Can YOU handle the Donkey?
  17. quote:Originally posted by AshandEs:Okay, thanks a lot. Now I'm addicted to the bloody donkey. And I can't even win a prize anymore, either! Yeah, sorry about that. The prize was won earlier today after just less than two weeks(!). You can still continue to play for the intellectual challenge though. Enjoy!
