At least I don't think I'm lost, well............OK, maybe just a little.

Last thing I heard on the news was that the road would not be repaired until the end of the summer. Of course that was at 0'dark 30 this morning.

I know food is generally a no no....

Rad Dad I would leave the movie, and forget the Popcorn. Infosponge I would suggest that if you want to offer your roasted coffee as a reward for finding a cache, include a special code that the finder could e-mail to you and then you could meet them someplace or snailmail them a sample of your beans. Fractal, I work in the sign business, and unless you are planning to start selling custom lettering to the public, it's not worth the expense. They run about $4K to start. Let me know how many you want and the size and I will get you a quote from my company.

Sorry to hear of the misfortune. I placed my second cache on Mar. 15th and by Apr. 5th it was gone. While it was in place it got 17 hits from cachers, and sadly the weekend before it was taken, travisl had his car broken into. ( I linked to the cache page, look thru the log entries for "Took police report, left broke glass" its somewhat amusing) __________ Lost? I'm not lost. At least I don't think I'm lost, well............OK, maybe just a little. We just made our reservations. Amazing thing, we ended up almost directly in front of Fractal's yurt. Hmmmm, imagine that. Wander Lost has volunteered her services as baby sitter for anyone with small children that wont be able to help with the clean-up. Besides, I can't get her do yard work around the house, much less convince her to drive to Oregon and do yard work there.

How soon before a date is set. It looks like the campground is starting fill available sites. I would hate to miss out on getting a reservation. Lost? I'm not lost. At least I don't think I'm lost, well............OK, maybe just a little.

I think I can handle the verbal assault I will probably recieve, so here goes, I assume that most of us are in their mid 30's or older, and can remember the days of vinyl LPs and cassette tapes. You or one of your buds would buy the latest greatest album by whatever artist was hot at the time. I'm sure no one had a problem with lending/borrowing said LP to make a cassette of a few of the tracks or even the entire album. It was called sharing, and I don't recall that the music companies really paid much attention. Maybe because the quality of a cassette recording wasn't very good as compared to the NEAR CD quality you get from todays MP3's. Another way to look at it could be that you are providing "FREE" advertising for the recording industry. Think about it, I take the time to "produce" and "arrange" a compilation of various artists music. Maybe these artists are not getting any radio airplay, and by introducing you to their music, I've created a desire in you to find more music by said artist. At this point I've "marketed" this unknown artist, and received NOTHING in return for my effort. So how am I hurting the music industry by doing their job for them.

To get the the most bang for your GEObuck, search zipcode 98001. I personally would reccomend; Seekers Dog Walk, Bronze Deer, Seeker's Pre-Roundup, Bingaman Pond, I've only named a few of my favorites that are pretty easy to get to.

Markwell, AVERY makes 8.5" x 11" ink jet printable magnetic pages, and I have seen magnetic business card pages which I believe are set up with 8 on a page.

Stirring the pot: Annoying Avatars & Cutesy Quotes
misguided one replied to Katetrex's topic in General geocaching topics
I usually disable my signature if I am posting more than one reply in any given string(although, I don't alwaysremember to shut it off.) Besides its no more irritating than the people who insist on using or trying to use ALL of the instant Graemlins in a single post. Lost? I'm not lost. At least I don't think I'm lost, well............OK, maybe just a little. -

I'm not one to rock the boat (yes I am) but if I were to occasionally place a canned food item, would that be so bad? Jamie I'll let you know after I stick a can of dog food out in my back yard, and see if the local rats break out their can opener to get whats inside. BTW check out this page. Lost? I'm not lost. Sorry for the varmints and critters running loose in the forums. I'm originally from Texas, and sometimes I type the way I talk. I brought the subject up because of the possums, raccoons, and coyotes we have living around the urban areas of the Pacific NW, and the fact that people don't use any common since when it comes to placing items in a cache container. The guidelines for placing a cache should probably be amended to include scented items as well. Just my $0.02 Lost? I'm not lost. At least I don't think I'm lost, well............OK, maybe just a little.

I also bring out a deer feeder and fill it with all manner of animal food and set it about 5 feet away from the cacheand let it do its thing. I also hide those really big bear traps all around the cacheslightly buried, theres no way a bear could see them.
