  1. Im new but I would have to say yes. Please revisit a cache site. Log as a note though. I hope more then one cacher revisits my cache .
  2. My brother comes home one day asking me if I want to go treasure hunting? You have to understand. This is just about the time that movie National treasure was coming out. "You have the Declaration of Independence" I said to him. . hehe He then told me about geocaching. He just heard about it at his new job. Both of us where interested, so we went to the website. It was about 12:00am and after researching geocaching for an hour we came to the conclusion that we couldn't wait. Off to Wal-Mart we go to get a GPS in the middle of the night lol. Anything less would be uncivilized hehe. Did a few caches that night and I've been hooked ever since then.
  3. I'm very new to geocaching, and started out doing any cahce I could get my hands on. Now I look forward to the harder caches. The first cache I planted was rather easy. Now I want to hide a harder cache. See the trend? I know now that I enjoy the harder caches both hiding and finding. Yah I like them!
  4. When I bought mine. I was more scared of getting the wronge one. I just new I would pick out the one that sucked bad. So I bought The best one they had . My question would have been what one not to get? Is there any out there that someone has tried that they can say, "Don't Get this one!" Let me in on that info hehe.
  5. I'm also new to geocaching and made a few mistakes. But two really stand out. 1.The first cache I hid. The cordinates where wronge LOL . Well it wasnt so funny for the first people who went out after it hehe. I guess its a given to make sure your cordinates are correct, but somehow I mixed up the last set of numbers. So make sure if you Hide one the cordinates are correct. hehe like I said thats a given but I screwed it up. 2. I went to a cache twice and logged it as a find both times. A day later I got an Email that siad not to log revisits as find rather post a note instead. Not sure if this a rule or not, but I practice this now.
  6. I've come to enjoy the hike and or area the cache brings you to, more then the actuall trading of items once I get there. But now and then I find something I really like, so Ill leave something good in its spot. I like to carry about 10 trading items on me at all times. I have a neat Hi-Tec backpack.
  7. I just started and there is three of us that go most of the time. We enjoy to all have are own account. I like to go out alone aften also. So I neeeeed my own hehe
  8. Nah, I allready have Glass Stash 2 all preped up and ready to hide. Just been checking the valley for a GOOD spot. I'm still new, so I want to keep these first few caches simple as I can hehe. Glass Stash was so much fun for me, I cant wait to plant the next one. Just making sure that everything goes perfect on this one. There is really some nice items in it. I'm affraid all my caches will be placed in Southern Nevada I never make out north that often. Plus I really enjoy to keep a close eye on my cache to make sure all is well with the cache and the surounding area. I've been out to glass stash about 10 times allready hehe. Maybe we can do a cache together. I make the items and you place and maintain it .
  9. Yahoo. There was a slight misunderstanding hehe. Im new lol. Let me show you what the log said I was under the impression they took all the marbles. After a return email I was informed they only took two marbles. Yahoo. My bad. I learned allot and all is well. Sorry for the missunderstanding. hehe
  10. Thanks for all the help. I will from now on individually package each marble seperatly. Along with a note or two in the log and in the cache that each finder should only trade or take one glass item. I do have a glass stash 2 in the works and it will have about 25 glass items in it. Each glass item takes about 45 minutes each to make. Along with about 3 dollars in materials. I value them around $10-25 dollars each. I really enjoy letting people find these marbles. That is why I do it hehe. Thanks again for all the help. I am still new and all your info is appreciated.
  11. My little brother took the best stuff to show his friends before I stashed them. But here are a few of the marbles going into Glass Stash 2. The jar that the marbles are on is also going in the cache. When I get the marble back with Geo Cache Written in it Ill post it up also.
  12. The new marbles I just made. Three of them are one inch in Diameter and have GEOCACHE written inside them. Very very nice.
  13. Aye I understand. One glance at these marbles and there is no mistaken. someone took there time to make them but no Problem at all. I just got done makeing an even better run of about 20 items all minimum value of $20 dollars. It took me to days to make it all and I will for sure make a note to Please only take one marble or glass item each . Thanks for the info
  14. I planted a well stocked geocache about 2 weeks ago with 12 handmade marbles, and a few other handmade glass items. Every glass item in the cache had a minimum value of $10. Well the cache was going great. Each finder would log and usually exchange an item of their own for a glass item of mine. Till today.... A group of three people found the cache and took the rest of the marbles (about 7 marbles) and left a toy frog. boo hoo.... I'm not to upset. I was just wondering whats the best way to let this guy know I think he should have only took one marble per person. Is it ok for me to log a note for my cache? Or should I just send him an E-mail and keep it more personal? I was just now thinking. Maybe I should have specified, only take one marble per trader? They where very nice marbles. I figured people would have just known not to take them all. I think this guy just got greedy he he No more cool marbles for the next to finds ack. maybe I can talk him into bringing them back lol
  15. When it comes to Geo caching in the cemetery, I'm all for it. When I die, I personally would love a Cache to be hidden right at my grave site. Not sure how many people will come to see me after I die that I did know. I might as well try and get as many people to come see me that I didn't know. I enjoy the attention. Maybe the dead want some sort of attention at there grave site, good or bad. I know after I die the more things near my grave site the better. Weather it be a small rodent or some Geo cacher stomping over my grave site looking for his treasure. Please walk over my grave on your search. My soul will appreciate it.
  16. All depends on where I am at in Nature. Dog poop is just a bit nastier then most other wild animal crap I've seen. "I have had horse and cow patty fights, but never a Dog crap fight LOL." If I'm way out in the desert. I'll leave my dog poop there. If I am close to a cache site or near a trail I will pick it up. I keep poop bags on me when I hunt caches with the dogs, but where I'm at depends on if I use them or not. Most of the time I pick it up, but my dog allways seems to poop in high foot trafic areas. Dog Poop > other animal poop hehe that is greater than.
