Yes, also with my unit. - But power off/on solves the problem. Map freeze cannot be solved with 1x power off/on @Andraes: wo hatte ich ein Luftproblem?

BUG - map freezes with new 2.96 Beta 5 times in only 3 hours driving a car (80-140 km/h) using map in 3D-Mode 4 data fields loaded routing enabled bug with autoadapter and with batteries reboot not always solves the problem (up to 4 reboots necessary)

switched back to firmware 3.70. (using a 8GB Sandisk) 3.90 is a nice beta but with 8GB-Card not tested by Gamin.

2GB works but problem with 8GB

Endura includes a nemerix gps chip (posted as NEMERIX-Chip V4.0 High Sensitive 160db) But nemerix no more exists. --> http://www.nemerix.com/gone.htm Therefore - who will update the chip if there is no more company

@yogazoo I have also a gpsmap60sx and an Oregon300 I had similar results. The logging of the gpsmap60csx is still state of the art. Seems that garmin did only improve the value in the accuracy field. Let's wait for the next Beta.

i am missing it !!!! why should i waste one data field as the oregon has only 2 data fields on the map side. (gpsmap has up to 4 data fileds and the circle) Therefore i am waiting for this feature on every firmwareupdate.

Thank's g-o-cashers for testing - that's exactly what i wanted to know. Lets hope Garmin will also implement this feature also for the Garmin-POIs in 2010.

my unit sometimes does not restore to record. (as already mentioned - therefore i have to check it every time which is ) I do not set it to demo mode manually. But checking some features indoor will do so.

the tracklog-problem still exists with the newest version. I always have the setup SETUP - TRACKS - RECORD,SHOW ON MAP Sometimes it changes to DO NOT RECORD It might have something to do with lost signal and changing into demomode Therefore it's a pitty to check always the unit after powering on, if track-logging is enabled. I am tired of reporting this bug. If Delorme would have maps for europe, i would not hesitate to buy a nongarmin unit.
