When loading a map from PC to my Meridian I get a prompt that the map size can be no larger than 64K. Any way to get around it?

What level of detail on the PC is best when you select the region you want to download? That is, state, region, etc., or does it make a difference?

I know what the initials stand for, but that's all?

I LOVE my Meridian Color. Only had it a couple of weeks, but I'm up to 10 caches and planning to use it back east on my vacation for both detailed street mapping and caches i've downloaded while I'm there. I haven't experienced difficulty with seeing in the sun. I've set the backlight for only a short period, but you can make it longer. From what I've read the Color seems to have less bugs with Direct Route as complared to the Explorist, which was the other model I was considering.

I've just purchased Direct Route for a trip back east. I'm wanting more detailed street maps and access to store waypoints for caching while I'm there. I've read the FAQ's about multiple maps. My question, is the basemap still available with a SD card in?

I'm new to GPS and want to know if any SD card can be used in my Magellan Meridian Color? Or do I have to buy one from Magellan? Good/best brand? Onl-line store? Recommended size? I want to load detailed street maps for a trip to east coast this summer.

What do I need for my Meridian Color to download and upload to my Mac (iBook)? If I get the additional software for more street detail (US) can I get it to run on my Mac? i know it says Windows on the package. Any way around it?
