Most of the caches I've found have required the use of the GPS. You could easily get within spotting distance of many caches without a GPS the old fashioned way - with a USGS Topo map and the ability to plot coordinates.

A friend has a cache with geocaching history questions attached. I've found most of the answers but have been stumped on the question: What are the north coordinates of the first cache? Anyone out there able to point me in the right direction on the web site (Yeah, I know I need to go north). jeanthebean
