  1. Thank you very much! I couldn’t remember where the true north setting was. Now I know. I was pretty much meaning that when I’m driving to an area towards the cache my car goes in a down direction instead of an up. So I’m going to mess with that icon you told me about or rather you showed me and I’ll take it from there. My iPhone is fairly new it is an XR. My old iPhone had the same problem but I think that should square it with me. Thank you so much!
  2. Hope this will make sense lol. When I choose a cache that I want to navigate to. My iPhone will show where I am and where on the map the geocache is located. But as I navigate, the navigation shows me going DOWN towards the cache. I’d like it to show the navigation going UP to the cache, not down. In other words, it would be much easier to follow the path going toward the cache if the phone had to be turned upside down in order for destination to be followed. Clear as mud? Anyone know what I’m talking about?
  3. Oh I see! Thank you! Now I know
  4. I can’t seem to find on my geocache pages the "view who’s viewed your geocache" (something like that) when it’s a Premium Geocache. Was that feature removed? It’s been a long time since I placed a new cache. Had one published today. Thanks!
  5. Thank you, Keystone. At least we know HQ is aware. I set out two new caches today. Can’t finish filling out the requirements without being looped back to beginning. Even the app on my phone is squirly.
  6. Apparently, I am not alone. I placed two caches today and I can't get past putting the coords in.. Website just sits there.. Will try later I guess. ?‍♀️
  7. Try putting in coordinates without the space after the N and the W. Such as N37 14.000 W121 49.000. These are coordinated near me and as an example. Just a thought. :-)
  8. Empty the GGZ folder as well? What is this response to? Can anyone answer my question above, please?
  9. Hi guys i have a Garmin Oregon 750t. I have a handful of geocaches I want to remove from this GPSr. When I hook up to my PC and view my GPX file folder, those geocaches do not show up so I can delete them. I used to delete by connecting to my PC which is the correct thing to do. Now, it seems to not be working. I checked all folders under Garmin, none contain these "hidden" caches I want cleared. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance Cissy Cissy PSP
  10. Oh, shoot! My apologies for saying top right in my original post. The target icon is indeed at the top left and I just mistyped. Hope you're on the right (left? ) track now. lol I am. Too bad ipad just too big to carry around.
  11. Hi there! Try tapping the "target" icon at the top right of the map twice until it shows as green with a compass pointer in it. That will make the map swivel with you as you turn. Hopefully that's what you're looking for. Thank you. That is what I'm looking for. I have done that but maybe I just got impatient and stabbed at it too fast ha ha ha. Thanks!! I'll try that again :-) Oops, I was clicking on the other icon very top LEFT. I briefly saw the "target" which looks like a little compass on the RIGHT top. I tapped it and it disappeared. iPhone did not rotate. The actually compass view does. So, I tried another cache on the map, but the target icon top right did not appear at all on map view. I have rarely seen that icon on upper right. Are we talking about same thing? Lol Ok, finally figured out what you are talking about. My "target" thingie is upper LEFT corner. I tap it twice and I get the green arrow pointing correctly. I tried it on my iPad and it rotates! Yay! However, my iPhone still does not rotate using that same "target" (upper left corner). I get it to turn green with little arrow pointing correctly. But if I need to east, for example, phone will not rotate to show I am moving in that direction. It's stuck on whatever it feels like. I'll learn to live with it, but it's frustrating. I was using it yesterday while on foot. Cache indicator showed cache up ahead. As I walked along, my blue dot was moving backwards towards destination. I'd have to turn phone upside down to show I was walking in correct direction. ACKKK lol. Thanks for your help! I'm assuming my iPhone 6 Plus just isn't adjusting well to this lovely new app.

  14. I am experimenting and getting used to the new geocaching.com app for iPhone. There is one feature that is driving me nuts because I can't figure it out. When driving to a cache, for example, down an expressway or walking a trail, the map shows as if I were going backwards. In others words, instead of it showing the blue dot (me) moving in the direction I am moving, it actually shows I am moving just the opposite. The app does not rotate in direction I am moving as the old app did. What do I need to do to show proper direction I am moving? Thanks much. Cissy
  15. Wouldn't you know it......after two days of tearing my hair out, I got in. Yayayayay! Don't know why. Thanks to anyone who was going to read and/or respond.
  16. Suddenly, yesterday while out caching with my iPhone, I went to Safari to sign into Geocaching.com. After years using the same password, it won't accept it. I releuctantly did the "create new password" feature. Still won't accept my new one. After again resetting and no workie, I reset it back to my old one. Still cannot get in. Safari and Geocaching.com work great on my iPad...but the phone won't. I've reset my iPhone to clear the cache and started over. Nope. Anyone else have this issue. I don't know if this is important, but this all happened when I downloaded Cachly with I like better than the new app. I went through Allow Access, etc etc. *sigh* Cissy Cissy PSP
  17. I'm getting the same thing at times. The cache page freezes, the cursor does its usual sit-n-spin while the page loads for a while, then the "long-running script" message appears. It's happening today with Pipe Dreams (just as an example). Stop the script, wait for the page to re-load, and sometimes it's OK. I'm trying it just now, and it's stuck at a blank browser screen. I have to get Windows to shut down IE11 for me. I've changed no setting since it started (I guess on the 8th). It's probably one of those things that will clear up automagically. I am having same issue as everyone. Edge Win 10 doesn't recognize Garmin at all. No plugin use. Same with Chrome and Garmin. Very disconcerting. I have relied on IE in order to download caches to my Garmin GPSMAP 62 and 62st. There is a workaround I'll have to use until IE 11 and Win 10 get it together. Dang.
  18. Help Center → My Account → Email → How do I add an e-mail address or change my primary email? http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=364 B. Thanks very much. That's what I did but it says the email I now want to use is typed in, it's says I can't because it's already in use. How is that possible when I have had the email I want to use now, forever. I created this replacement email several years ago (current email for Geocaching is pzazimuth@sbcglobal.net. I want to use my other one pcazimuth@gmail.com because we are changing providers. My current email on Geocaching is no longer going to exist soon.
  19. I am trying to change my email address to a different one. I have a gmail account and I want to use that instead of my old one....sbcglobal.net as we left AT&T. When I put in my gmail account address, it says "already exists". Of course it does! I have it. I see no where in my profile where I can change my primary address. Can you help, please? I need to do this ASAP so I continue with my geocaching stuff Thanks in advance Cissy
  20. Thank you very much for the link. I missed it somehow. This solved the problem! yay!
  21. You ARE definitely a genius!!! Now, I am send to my gps as before I got Win 10. Thank YOU so much!!! ) You are a genius.....Many Many thanks- All this talk about how things were in the "good old days" i don't think geocaching would be as big as it is today if wasn't as simple- I know I have been somewhat discouraged- Your information has been a huge help to making it simple again. 22. I just found this topic. For me, the problem started suddenly. My PC does recognize my 62s, but when I click on "Send to GPS", the geocache does not go thru. I have to click on "GPX". This brings up my GPSEasy software so I can "send" to my 62s. I shouldn't have to do this the long way. Does anyone know what is corrupted in my 62s? I have tried another cable. Didn't help. My old Garmin 60 CSx still works and will accept geocaches as it should. It's not paperless so I always use my 62s. Thanks for any help. Windows 10 P.S. I just got Win 10 and I am aware that Microsoft Edge doesn't work with the Garmin software plugin. So, I use Internet Explorer. Cissy
  23. Good idea. Might wait until trip is over. Thanks much!
  24. Sending how? Through the website, an app, GSAK, or some other third-party piece of software? If it's an app or other software, which one? I do seem to recall that there were issues submitting trackable logs through the official iOS app if there were photos attached, but I'm not sure if this is still an issue or not. If that scenario does apply to you, you could see if you can remove the photo(s) and re-submit the pending log, or delete the pending log and submit a new one without any photos. If you can't get any of this to work, drop into Groundspeak HQ in Seattle and see if they can help you. Hi yes we are using Apple iPad or the iPhone to send travel bug logs the regular sign the log for cash is that you do go through perfectly fine it's only the travel bug law that will not go through. We are not attaching any photos. Simply the log for retrieving a bug. We are not in Seattle, just passing through. Thank you! I The frustrating part is that we want to place the Bug in Vancouver Canada, but until the retrieval log goes through, we can't do a drop :-( As you can see by my paragraph above, darn Siri gets it wrong hahaha
