  1. You might try Milo Mciver it looks like the closest place to camp. Also if you want to come you might post to the forum on the website. The sites can hold up to 8 people and you might be able to double up with somone that is already going. Silver Falls State Park is another alternative which actually might be more convenient than Milo Mc Iver. Cheers! egli
  2. Just curious, does anyone else bird while 'caching? I'm a fairly avid birder w/ much GPS & map experience but a newbie to 'caching. After checking all of the registered cache placements in OR I notice that most of my favorite birding haunts are generally populated with caches nearby. Cheers! egli
  3. Murmeli, Thanks so much! It must have been something I keyed incorrectly as your solution is right on the money!!
  4. I don't know if I keyed something wrong or if maybe this is related to the latest upgrade. It's probably something I did inadvertently since I don't see anyone else complaining. The "Time Stopped" feature on the Trip Computer Page doesn't record. While I'm stationary the "Time Moving" continues to record. The Trip Computer Page worked just fine before the latest update. Any thoughts? Tia, egli manzed_99@yahoo.com
  5. I'm in the process of replacing my beloved Lowrance GlobalNav 200 after a thief nailed my truck while I wasn't looking. I would appreciate comments pro & con on the Magellan Platinum and the Garmin e-Trex Vista. The MagPlat is physically more similar to the Lowrance, but the small size of the Vista intrigues me. I'm probably more practically concerned with the under tree cover & deep canyon reception of the Vista. Any firsthand users under adverse conditions out there? And what about those small buttons on the sides of the Vista? Are they usable with gloves on? Thanks, egli
