  1. So is that really the shipping? It does seem a titch high, unless you are throwing in a bunch of batteries too!! lol
  2. I bought an ipaq rx1955. It got good reviews all over the place and I have have issues now with Palm OS systems since our desktop died. I wanted something with WIFI, I spend alot of time parked and waiting for my kids in various places and didn't want to lug the laptop around anymore. The one I am selling is a Palm vIIx, worked really well for caching,
  3. Hi, Anyone have an ipod Nano they would like to get rid of? I don't care about the GB, 1 would be fine! Thanks
  4. I just listed a Palm Viix on ebay. I have used it for caching and just upgraded. It is $15 included shipping. Comes with syncradle, very nice stylus, leather case and I will throw in the every important AA batteries!!
  5. If the PDA has bluetooth, then I would recommend a bluetooth GPS. There are many models available, and all should work. If you get the proper software, then yes, you can get turn by turn voice routing, and automatic rerouting. I have a Palm Tungsten T3, running Mapopolis, connected to my Legend via a bluetooth adapter, and I get all this. You can also use a cable to connect the devices if you get some other GPS. You cannot, however, connect any USB GPS to it, because there are no PDAs which are USB hosts, and that is necessary to connect to any other USB device. You need either a serial or bluetooth GPS. A bluetooth GPS can be purchased for ~$70 or less. So you just have a regular etrex legend attached via a bluetooth adapter to your Tungsten right? So I assume you do not have a seperated GPS recevier (ie Garmin Mobile 10 or ipaq or others)? Am I getting this right. Could you elaborate on the adapter? Thanks so much for the help!
  6. I just got a new PDA, I was thinking of purchasing a GPS receiver for it for, well, um, fun. I can't think of how else to justify it. While I was looking at PDA reviews and the such, I stumbled across them and now I HAVE to have it. I have been checking out ebay and they are quite expensive, so I doubt I can get away with it. I did see a post once about hooking a actual gps to a pda, is this possible? So if I got the software, would it also to the turn by turn, routing, and rerouting? Anyone know anything about this?
  7. I currently have a Palm VIIx on ebay. $15 starting and free shipping. I used it for caching too. I just got a newer one too. Take a look anyone! Love to unload it to a fellow cacher!
  8. LOL That would be about right!!! I was getting charge for some music thing from AOL for a YEAR. I thought it was some game thing my husband had and I don't know what he thought it was, finally I called. They refunded the whole thing, they could see we never used it! I tried emailing a couple of places I found scratching around. I think I will got the canceling route. Easier that way. Thanks!
  9. Hi I am getting charged TWICE each month for a premium membership. I have tried emailing and gotten no response, who else can I contact? Thanks for any help.
  10. Thanks, I will look into that for some other things that are going on. I listed my old Palm and won a ipaq rx1955 on ebay this afternoon. So excited, I spend a lot of time waiting for kids in various places and the wifi will be awesome to have and not have to drag the ol' laptop around.
  11. I can't even get the software to load correctly on my laptop. I also don't have a SD card slot on my palm. AND I actually just listed it on ebay - time to upgrade. I would like one with wifi anyway. Bidding on a Dell or ipaq and avoiding the whole Palm OS fiasco altogether. I have been poking around and apparently Vista doesn't currently work with Palm right now either. Gonna be some angry people! Thanks for the help!
  12. Hi Just wondering if anyone else can not get their Palm Pilot to work on Windows Media Center edition. I know this is a problem. The palm web site states it does not support this version of windows, but in the user forums, some have gotten it to work. Has anyone here had any luck? Thanks.
  13. "Daisy's taste bad" I showed my stepdaughter how to suck a clover. We were walking on a trail that was loaded on each side with daisys. She wondered what they tasted like, I told her probably not so good. She asked if she should try it like 10 times and each time I just said "I wouldn't" She was walking behind me and it was quiet for 10 seconds and then the sputtering and blecking started.... If you think "Hmmm, feels like something is crawling on my leg/head/back/arm/stomach" There probably is... People will look at you funny if you walk into a gas station with sticks in your hair. I can drive 20 miles to the nearest gas station and not notice them til I get back in the car. Now when I see people with debris in theirs, I think FUN! Six depleted batteries rearranged in ANY order will not become 2 good ones.
  14. So will any Palm work well or is there a particular model that doesn't work so well?
  15. My very first time out a few days ago, I was looking for a letterbox because I did not have my GPS yet and I dug up someones poor dead pet parakeet in a homemade teeny crypt. Never found letterbox, considered returing GPS for Tivo, but going good so far! Yesturday I found a Gateway computer monitor along side of a trail aways off the road, who ever carried it there was very strong. I dragged it back and left it were I knew road crews would pick it up.
  16. HUH? in reference to the above. And because I am feeling so S-M-R-T what the heck is a markwell??
  17. I understand some of the acronyms, like TNLNSL. I was under the impression that TFTC ment "The first to cache", but this appears in the logs after others, what does it mean and what are some others that are used by not included in the glossary? Thanks, I am very new to this, I have 3 caches and 2 letterboxes under my belt, having a blast!
