  1. I'll try this one! When the red bar shows up, just press it, and the cache info page should open! I don't have the "lips" button on my Nuvi 350, I have a button with a picture of a speaker, in the lower left corner. Press that, and a list of all caches within your alert distance should show up, just caches you haven't found. This button is helpful if you're close to a lot of caches. Do these work for you? Mike Yes, I've tried pressing the red bar, but nothing happens. There isn't a speaker button either, so I don't have any option to see what the other alerts are. Seems like at one point, I did get a list of alerts after going through the menus, so I'll have to mess with it some more. Maybe there is a special place on the red bar that I have to push to get the info. Thank you anyway!
  2. I have a question about the alerts, and haven't seen it addressed yet here. It dings and the red bar shows up across the top of the screen, but from there, if I want to see the info about the cache, or actually "go" to it, I have to go through half a dozen choices to get to that option. By then, I've passed the POI in question. Is there a way to put a button on the screen that I can touch to bring it up? In a previous post someone mentioned the "red lips" that pop up, but that's not on my Nuvi 200. I believe someone asked then about it but I didn't find an answer. Thanks!
  3. Thank you jjreds! A few days ago I stumbled across the other thread about pilotsnipes' macro, read through it, installed the macro and thought WOW!! It was awesome! THEN, I find this thread, and have been reading through it for a couple days. Double WOWOW!!! I downloaded the macro tonight, installed it, loaded a bunch of PQ's in GSAK and ran it. It worked perfectly! (I have a Nuvi 200) Thank you for all the hours you've put into making paperless caching so easy for all of us! edit: stupid didn't preview and see typo
  4. This is fantastic!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I got the free Nuvi 200 a couple months ago, and just last week used it to help find a cache when I didn't have my handheld with me. I had loaded a .gpx file into it and they were all loaded into the favorites. Fine, except there's no way of getting rid of them in the 200 except deleting one at a time, or a hard reset. Bah. Then, yesterday I stumbled across a thread in the MiGO forums about this and was intrigued. I read the tutorial (and also started reading this thread), thought 'how easy is this?', and last night downloaded what I needed and had it all installed on the Nuvi in minutes. It works GREAT!!! I did the hard reset (I only had 2 actual 'favorites' to put back in afterward), and now use the POI Loader to put gpx files on it and/or delete them in bulk. AND, now I have the complete cache listing in there too. Awesome! I finished reading this thread today and found answers to all the questions I had about it. Thank you everyone for all the helpful info. And thank you again, pilotsnipes for all the work and countless hours you've put into making paperless caching with the Nuvi so easy for all of us!
  5. Haven't been in the forums in a while! How about this? And large size:
  6. Sure thing. PM me your email address and I'll send it. I was looking at the avatar that's distorted. The file it's using is 27 pixels x 75 pixels. Not sure how it got like that, it should be 75 x 75. You might want to completely delete that one, then re-download the one in the above post and then re-upload it for your av. Hopefully that will fix it!
  7. You're welcome!! No golf today, storms here .... so I play with Photoshop instead!!
  8. I'm not too happy with it myself! I liked being able to make the avs longer to make up for the 80-pixel width limitation. You're welcome. Sorry I couldn't help with the animated one.
  9. Couldn't do the animated one... here are some for the other: 75x75 85x85
  10. Yikes! I've been busy and not here so much lately. I'll have to take a look and see what they've done to the sizing requirements. Used to be fine to have it 200 pixels tall, but now they appear to be shrinking that quite a bit!
  11. Sure! But, with summer here and golf and geocaching in full swing, I'm not at the computer as much. It will take me a bit longer but I will work on it!
  12. The tags arrived today, thank you so much! I love how they turned out!
  13. I'm assuming the covering on the boxes is printed on a colour printer and then stuck to the container somehow? May I ask what material it's printed on, how you attached it to the container and how you've weatherproofed it? (I've been considering something pretty similar for a cache I'm planning). It's probably camo tape. You can buy it at most sporting goods stores in the hunting department... or at your local "Always" store or similar type store. It usually comes in a variety of colors and camo patterns, so you can make it blend in with whatever location you're using it at. Oops! Edited to add: sorry... didn't see that you're on the other side of the pond... not sure where you might find it over there.
  14. Thanks! And, you're welcome.... no problem at all, should be a cool-looking sticker!
