  1. You can get a spankin' new one for almost that much.
  2. Thanks for straitening me out y'all. I can honestly say when I had the unit, I never attached it to my 'puter. Sounds like the III+ would do just fine.
  3. Yeah I used to rock that one. Bought it in '99 and used to use it for hiking...nice ability to track back and record your hike. However, with only 1.44 mb (if I remember correctly) of memory and no external add on, I'm not sure you can put much on it at all. What you have to do is enter waypoints/caches manually and then go find 'em one by one. It'll work if that's all you got...have a blast!
  4. Wow...no routing problems or nothing? I actually have 6 with the 7 upgrade DVD. I thought about contacting Garmin and seein' if there's something I can do...loading all that crap get's boring!
  5. I used to have a GPSMap 60CSx and still have the City Select 7 software that I used with it. Will that work with the new Colorado 400t I just ordered or am I getting some new stuff?
  6. It has some scratches on the face from rolling my ATV but it's still perfectly readable. The scratches are pretty fine and other than that, the unit is in perfect shape. Comes with Trip and Waypoint Manager, the manual, belt clip and a neoprene case. Images upon request but I'm not sure I can get good shots of the scratches.
  7. Still works with City Select, yes? I mean my City Select and US Topo that I've been using for my 60CS will work on it if I get new unlock codes, right?
  8. I just ordered the 60CSx to replace my 60CS (which will be going up for sale here soon) and wanted to know if the only differences are the satellite reception and external memory? The main reason I want the newer device are these two reason but I gotta think there's more than just this. Also, I ordered two microSD cards and would like to have Topo on one and City Select on the other. Is this something that will work?
  9. So you have to deselect all the City Select maps you download just to view the Topo maps? That's a pain in the butt!!!
  10. I just bought Mapsource US Topo for loading detailed trail info on my Garmin GPS 60cs. Now I've looked through the manual and did a search both here and on the web but I cannot find the answer to this question: How do I switch between my City Select 7 mapset and my Topo East mapset on my 60cs? It's drivin' me freakin NUTS!!! It's gotta be right in front of me and really easy to do but dadgum if I can figure it out.
  11. Man I ain't gonna sleep for weeks. Looks like a mix between a dog and the freakin' Crypt Keeper. Good Lord!!!
  12. Dude I think I still have a Palm VII x at work I'll send you if you pay shipping...I have no use for it anymore. Drop me an email.
  13. We're getting get RIM Blackberry 7520's at work and I wanted to find out if anyone knows of anything like CacheMate I can use for this unit or any RIM units for that matter. Also, what do you all use who have Microsoft type units like iPaq's and whatnot? Cachemate rules and I'm hating the thought of not having it...might have to purchase a nice little Palm from eBay or something.
  14. MAN THAT THING SUCKS!!! What the hecks wrong with you???
  15. Come on Johnny Vegas...you gotta admit that you may have gotten lucky with your 500 considering all the complaints and issues on this site alone regarding the 500/600 series. I mean it's true what you say but let's be real.... I LOVE the design of the explorist series, dadgum good looking/function unit (problems excluded) and I can't say I'd NOT buy a Magellan based on my bad experience. But I can say I'll DEFINITELY investigate any Magellan I'd consider purchasing a heck of allot closer than say a Lowrance or Garmin unit.
  16. There's certainly a way. I used to use linux and there are several windows emulators such as Wine that'll allow you to run Windows apps within linux. Try Linux Forum.
  17. Beginning this Fall on NBC, My Name Is gringo_nordestino....
  18. Man all this talk about Karma...must be more buddhist out there than I tought. Man don't sweat it...you're not going to hell man.
  19. The most annoying thing about a hypocrite is that they are right....I like that.
  20. Man that is a pretty bad mistake for someone in the retail business though, huh? Actually, perhaps gringo_nordestino should go back and ask him what his intention was...point out the error...if he's doin' that regularaly that place ain't gonna be 'round to long, huh? Perhaps that'll apease the Karmic gods.
  21. Yeah gringo_nordestino, I gotta say you're gettin' roughed up a bit. Dot Com too. But I guess ya gotta watch what you say on these forums, huh? Now watch man...I'ma get pimp slapped to.
  22. I suppose some people like to "stick it to the man". I'd have to say there's probably a few establishments I'd have no problem makin' out on. But I'd never do it to somewhere I frequent, somewhere I've gotten great service in the past or a ma and pop outfit. Now Best Buy...I might just hafta!!!
  23. Neo Geo...good one...got a gooooood laugh. My opinion on the matter....can't really say for sure but I know if more people were as honest as most of you are representing, this country would definitly be much better off. But before you chastise these guys, check your past...no rattlin' bones? I consider myself chronically honest (once called the cops after wreckin' my car and told 'em "come get me...I'm drunk and I just wrecked my car"...hmmm...maybe that's chronically stupid?) so I most likely would have said something. Especially considering you can get one online close to that price anyhow. But I'm not going to jump to the conclusion that these guys are as bad as their being made out simply for this.
