Anyone else have any input on the Pushawalla and Bradshaw to share?
When my family and I did it, we did it on the shortest day of the year. We went from east to west and hit our first cache just before noon and finished just after dark. According to my log entries, I spent 5 hours and 28 minutes on the trail. I also posted my adventures here.

I ran across a free photo editing program that you can download from the web called Gimp. It looks like an imitation of Photoshop and has many of the same features.
I love this stuff but I don't have photoshop ... or time ... but I just want to add my appreciation for the lessons!Harmon posted that new lesson and a bunch of people said they were interested but hardly anybody posted any geocaching photos applying the lesson. So it would be cool if some of you could do that otherwise Harmon may not make any more lessons.....One of the best things about The GIMP is that it works with Linux, that and the price is right.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I know my total doesn't been to match most of yours, but we all have to start somewhere.
And congratulations to all on their mile stones. The tally so far this month is:
zeber: 600
SKILLET: 1800
Sled Head 900
jahoadi and john: 5000
sfidc1946: 400

Really? Don't you mean 4?
I'm pretty sure both of you meant to say 3!

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I'll get schooled by ya! But why do I need to learn this stuff when you are so good about just doing it for me for free?
Thanks for the magic lessons... If you ask me, its all magic...
Magic lessons? Do we need wands and cauldrons?
I just acquired a copy of CS2, either way I'm interested.

Honk if you know the movie title and the driver's name.
Every Which Way But Loose / Clyde?
How about "Any Which Way You Can" and Clyde?

Mine is Kevin Harvick. He is from my wifes hometown and I started watching him in the truck series.
Mine is Matt the Brat Kenseth! I watched him become the track champ at half mile track in Madison, WI.I'll tell you all the good caches in San Diego AFTER you tell me your favorite NASCAR driver. This is a test! r/ jnj
Dale, Jr. Mostly because I was a huge fan of his dad.

The pictures have been posted. This is the first or lower Dollar Lake.
This is the second or upper Dollar Lake.
And two views of Lamoille Lake, The first looking toward the snow at the end of the lake and the second looking across the lake in the opposite direction toward Lamoille Canyon.
There are more, but I'll leave them for another time.

It doesn't do him justice, but I took my inspiration from Yrium and his log entries.

I don't know how many of you browse the other threads in this forum, but check this out.
Congratulations jahoadi and john on this most deserved honor.

#*$@&! I am going to be one week too late. 10,000 has been found. As previously mentioned, this has been on my to do list as an FTF for quite a while and I won't be in Elko until this weekend. Oh well, there is still the STF!
Sorry someone got it. At least I didn't beat you to it. Go for STF! I am going for two caches tomorrrow, both over 9900 feet and in two different mountain ranges. One will be an FTF try (GC13CX4 Saddle between the Twins) and the other has not been found since Jun 2004 (GCJG3F Mt. Augusta's Mile High Club). Wanna come?? 0600 start!
Thanks for the offer, John. If I leave now I might just make it in time, but if I'm not there, don't wait.

Double Post, but I found the one you were talking about here.

Hey folks...
I have a TB that needs to be in San Diego by Saturday. It's part of that podcache effort.
Can anyone help get it there?
Thanks
MM
Which one and where is it?

Are you supposed to delete the caches off your GPS after you have found them?
We used to delete just after finding.... once we went to a cache - through some apartment complexes to a trail, around a hillside, through a forest. By the time we were headed back to the car - we kind of lost track where we exactly started. Got back to the apartment complex, then the street - and no car!! Hmmm, where or where did we park?? Had to look at the paperwork for "suggested parking", and put that back into the GPS to know what direction to go. NOW!! I try to remember, no deleting until we are safely home.
Lesson re-re-re-learned... Mark your CAR!!! (Been there. Done that. Got the tee shirt.)
Why didn't I suggest that?

On the other hand, you could always mark the car before you leave it. I manage to do that about half the time. It depends on how fast I want to get to the cache. On an FTF, all bets are off.

WOO HOO!!! We found the gooseneck so third time is a charm thanks for the clue Nitro and Nevada Wolf we were focusing on that there bored.....That was so fantastic....I wish I were retired already so I could go out every day....now will have to go back to wadsworth and try those again.....do you know anything about the nevadageocaching site...my husband and I both signed up day before yesterday and we haven't received a e-mail yet....so is this Nevada thread going to be the home of the northern nevadans....
Welcome to the fun! Glad you stuck it out and found gooseneck. Yes watch out for byger's hides near Wadsworth, he can be mean! We are one of the San Diego cachers (there are others like Don Coyote) that watch this forum and the NGA site. My input is to do both. We have joined the GBES, but don't do the Yahoo group thing. Oh yea, don't trust that MooseMob fella. Well trust, but verify!
I finally got some free time, I hate it when work interferes with real life. As one of the San Diego contingent, let me add my welcome to this madness.
On the subject of work, I was contacted by my boss about a position that is available in the organization. The great thing about this position is it would be a full-time telecommute position and I could transition to it within the next year. If I'm going to telecommute, I can do it from Spring Creek as easy as I can do it from Vista, CA. So its looks like "... and soon to be Spring Creek, NV" is getting closer.

400 for Don Coyote you better get busy Nevada probably only has 400 in the whole state. No wait john of jahodi and john is up there. so maybe 450 by now
You're right I am in trouble, because that means I have found over 10% of the Nevada caches already. But in all fairness to my home state, I'm quite sure they have a few more than that. On the other hand I have just five caches to go before I clear out 15 miles from my home coordinates.

Holy Toledo! What a wide variety of accomplishments!
Don Coyote: Your first 400 bags!! yippee....OBTW..aren't you related to that evil MM?
Thank you, and not that I know of; we just happen to call the same state home.
Team FATMAN: 1300: imagine how many you'd have if you quit turkey hunting...I know..no way!
Chuy!: 500 FTFs: the guy never sleeps..that's how he does it
Duncan! : 5700 finds: Are you ahead of $kimmer yet?
Congratulations TEAM FATMAN, Chuy! and $kimmer.

Check out the new format for cache pages. A new coordinate conversion tool has been added to take most of the fun out of some of those evil puzzle caches....
Can you be more specific and identify said evil puzzles .
I was trying to download the Garmin Communicator Plugin to download coords directly into the GPS, but I don't see it on the Garmin download page. Anyone know where it is?
I got it to work with my Legend, but so far only with Internet Explorer, not Firefox.

So what did everyone think of the EVENTS today???
I only have one complain . Where the heck was every ones name tags. I saw a lot of folks I have met before but couldn't remember their names. Maybe it's a getting old thing but name tags sure would of helped. Also a lot of new faces with no names.
I spoke with Foxtail and she said that due to time constraints they scrapped the name tags. You were easy to recognize with that "special" pin on your hat, but you're right the name tags would have helped.

Where is every one today???
The same place you were. It was great finally meeting you.

I think it's time this thread was bumped again.
Guess who has finally made the move back home to Nevada? I will be working and staying in Vista, CA for a few more weeks, but Mrs. Don Coyote is officially living in Elko. And since I don't have a home in California anymore, I guess I am officially a Nevadan again.
