1. In truth even if you don't use something like GSAK, the instant you get a PQ, or even print out a stack of geocache pages, you have an offline database. In fact unless you can establish a connection to gc.com in field you are using offline information. So I think CR idea is a good one as well.
2. Well according to netmechanic page Wrapping Tables Inside a FONT Tag the html standard says It also says . and So it appears that htmltidy is making the html fit the standard, so that it will work in most browsers instead of just IE 5 and higher.
3. This is my log for what I consider to be close to a perfect cache hunt. One cache in two days, including an overnight camping and an all day hike.
4. Sorry to continue the talk on copyrights but according to 10 Big Myths about copyright explained
5. I don't know about you but I didn't place my submitted information into the public domain. Even geocaching's TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT recognizes it as still being copyrighted by me. . By my submitting information the TOU does give Groundspeak a lot of rights to the information. So to get a legal right to my submitted information a third party has to get permission from me or Groundspeak, otherwise they don't have a legal access to it. Of course I am not a lawyer and don't even play one on TV, but these sections of the TOU seem fairly clear to non-lawyer.
6. You can keep tabs on some of people who are looking at your cache. As a subscriber I can set up a PQ to get a list Members Only Geocaches and none of the owners will have any indication that I have the looked at the information.
7. Being from the southern US, I consider both cold.
8. A local cacher got bitten by a tick last year and became quite ill. I bet he now filters out 'Ticks'. Due to the way attribute filtering for PQ's is set up you can have a PQ show geocaches with the tick attribute set but you can't filter for the geocaches that don't have it set. The same effect would work on "might flood" attribute you could find the geocaches that might flood, but couldn't filter them out.
9. I recently had a reason to review the GA Trespassing laws. Which basically say that if the land is posted no one is suppose to go on it without permission. So if the laws are similar where edscott then he is giving geocachers permission (and probably at least some friends and family), but he needs the signs to keep other people off.
10. Well the Cache Types page defines "Mystery or puzzle caches" as The “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges. I added bolding, so it doesn't require someone to solve a puzzle to get the coordinates. My opinion the use of other caches to get clues for the coordinates of a cache fits the defination of a "Mystery or puzzle caches".
11. Well now if I am logged in when I try to display http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...c4-7c22855fb8c9 I get Server Error in '/' Application. Leader Lists

I also applaud it.
14. I think they mean another site that combines virtual and physical geocaches. Also it should be who's on first? I don't know! Third base!

Cookies?

Strange for me, in the past few days Firefox would stay logged on, but IE wouldn't. But now they both seem to work ok for me.
16. Well I like a changing avator, and have one on my website that I use on other boards. But since Groundspeak doesn't allow off site avator's I don't have one here. But this is the one I use on other boards.
17. I keep my GPS V in my shirt pocket as I am hiking, works fine, rarely loses the satellites.
18. Well I have found the source of at least one of CharlieP's problems. Geocache GCNGKB has HTML <td style="width:100%;height:10px;" bgcolor="#339933>

<td align="> I not sure why the cache page writer used all these escaped html commands. CharlieP's GPX contains for this geocache
Then GPXSpinner converts to <td style="width:100%;height:10px;" bgcolor= "#339933>

<td align="> . Notices the escape html is converted to true html, but this isn't the problem But Plucker barfs on the <td align="> It apparently doesn't like the single ". So it isn't directly GPXSpinner's problem, the cache page has bad HTML which browsers ignore. But when GPXSpinner recreates this bad HTML out of the GPX, plucker hangs on it. I don't know if Lil Devil can catch it and "fix" it or not.
19. I hope I never meet a masochist that believes in the "Golden Rule". I always thought the rule should be "Do unto others as they would have you do unto them."
20. If they are always accurate then don't ride with mtn-man. See this log of his.
21. Yep, it is about numbers and here is mine.
22. As another "old timer" I also liked when the descriptions were one or two sentences and there was no hints, much less parking coords/
23. Shouldn't you mean Cachers who do not find the cache and fail to log anything for it will have their logs created.
