  1. You also have to watch out for that guy iryshe, he sometimes takes over for Jeremy.
  2. I hear it's greasy...ugh. Actually it tastes like chicken. I always heard that it tastes like pork, in fact cannibals called it, Long pork. I bet like real pork it is bad for heart.
  3. How can someone click through an email which bounced?
  4. I thought this was after you became a reviewer.
  5. To hopefully get back to get back on thread. Be sure to get someone with experience with the database you are using. I have extensive experience with tuning code for Oracle databases, some experience with DB/2 and very little with Microsoft SQL server. I have found that some ways of writing SQL statements are bad for all types of relational databases. But when you having to really fine tune the SQL, you need expertise with the specific database, because what will make a major improvement in one, may not help another in fact may actually make it worse. So if you were using Oracle I probably could help, I helped one DBA with a database, which had several table in the terabyte size. If you used DB/2 I might be able to help. However I assume you are using SQL server and I don't think I could help there. So the point is to get the help you want, you need an expert in the specific database you are using not just an SQL expert.
  6. I don't think he is, the Forum Guidelines says CoyoteRed isn't posting anonymously his sig tell you he is "CR of Sissy-n-CR"
  7. When on the geocache page for GCTRAX I used the download GPX link on the page. However the GPX file I got had the sections on country and state wrong. It looks like <Groundspeak:country>Georgia</Groundspeak:country> <Groundspeak:state> </Groundspeak:state> I checked a nearby geocache GCNMEX and it look like I expected that is <Groundspeak:country>United States</Groundspeak:country> <Groundspeak:state>Georgia</Groundspeak:state> I assume that it is either a bug, or the hider picked the country of Georgia instead of United States.
  8. Don't you mean hypothetically the cache is a physical cache and has already been hypothetically logged by three other players?
  9. Jeremy approved my first geocache GC569 "The Brushy Mountain Cache" which will be 5 years old on March 25th. And yes Jeremy directly answered a question I had. I also remember when there were only 5 gecocaches within 50 miles of me, now there are 616 active geocaches with that same 50 miles.
  10. Looks like the website doesn't "like" my standard browser, which basically is a Firefox with a few extra security features. Standard IE and standard Firefox work fine. First time that I have ever seen error message triggered depending on which browser I am using.
  11. I can get in but all the forums issue the following error Server Error in '/dotnetnuke' Application. Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.
  12. This is different from South Carolina Geocachers Association?
  13. Just downloaded the latest version of FindStats, same result except I only let it run for 5 minutes.
  14. It has now been an hour, I assume there is something in the PQ that FindStats doesn't like. The DOS box looks like Input file: C:\tempajl\353188.gpx Output file: C:\tempajl\353188_Stats.tx File parsed successfully Getting geocaches. Getting logs. Analyzing waypoints.
  15. I just got a "All my finds" PQ and fed it into findstats.exe and it has been running for 30 minutes using 90%+ of my system (an AMD Athlon 1.99 GHz with 512MB) running XP professional Service Pack 2. Windows explorer show that it did create a _Stats.txt file but it is zero bytes long.
  16. And of course it is always provided without a source. The fact is that the memory limitation was hardware based: The intel 8086 processor imposed a toal 1MB memory space limit. the inflexible hardware architechture of the early IBM PC only allowed 640KB of that to be used by RAM
  17. I keep a local DB for quick a decision to go geocache hunting. Also I have more time I use the geocache on a route feature of GSAK, which would be a pain if I didn't already have the DB of geocaches.
  18. I understand that. So if there were canned state queries, I would want GA, NC and SC, not because I really want all of those geocaches, but because I could then filter them to the ones within 50 or so miles of me. But if Team GPSaxophone's idea of was implemented I wouldn't be able to get NC and SC. However if your original idea of the "Changed in the last 7 days" PQ including archived in the last 7 days then I would be ok. Of course Jeremy has said no to both ideas, so I'll stick with getting all geocaches with 50 miles and checking the un-updated geocaches to find the archived ones. That way anytime I decide to head out, I can use GSAK to filter by route to get me a custom list in the direction I am heading.
  19. Since I live in the NE corner of Georgia, I am far more interested in geocaches inside a 50 mile circle than in list of all Georgia geocache. If there was geocache in the SW corner of Georgia it would be about 250 miles away. So a GPX of my home state of GA would not be near as useful as getting some sort of archive notice for geocache inside that 50 mile circle.
