Just enter *four blanks* at the beginning of each line to force a monospaced font.

    I didn't know about that.

    Thank you RCH65!

And if your table columns are already separated by tabs, you can use this tool to convert the table to monospaced font text:
    https://onlinetsvtools.com/convert-tsv-to-text

Then, all you have to do is insert 4 spaces at the beginning of each line.

  2. Even if third party checkers like Certitude, Geocheck, etc. already existed for Mystery/Puzzle caches, Groundspeak still introduced the notion of "Solution checker" because it is more effective.

For these same reasons, I agree with GC_LostNFound and I would also like to have "Solution checker" not only on Mystery/Puzzle caches, but also on Multi-Caches and even Letterbox Hybrid caches that are not at the posted coordinates.

Most of the time, mobile data is available, so yes it would be useful.

...there is nothing to stop you creating your OWN event, and even if you are the only cacher who attends, it counts....

This proves how ridiculous is this "imposed" different cache types Challenge.

If the cache types had not been imposed, the geocacher could have simply chosen another type of cache.

  4. Too bad that Groundspeak imposed the 8 different cache types...

It would have been so nice to look for 8 different cache types that are available in our respective regions instead of looking for imposed cache types, when some of these types are not available in the area.

Anyway, happy Geocaching to the participants!

Any speculation on what the August Challenge will be?

I hope the August Challenge will be more environmentally friendly by not encouraging geocachers to travel several miles/km per day to find caches for 28 consecutive days...

The script found 3. 4. and 5. but did not count the LAB I did on the 6. July even the 24-36 hrs delay at Project-GC are over by now.

    ...

Is there anything I can do to solve this?

If you go in your Project-GC Dashboard, box "User-data", you will see the last database update timestamps of:
    - User-data refreshed
    - Geocaching profile refreshed
    - Find logs refreshed

You could be logged in and use a script to brute force the correct solution. So yeah, the recaptcha is to discourage such tactics.

    Good point!

But it would be better to have a tool other than recaptcha, a tool made by Google which doesn't always work well in browsers other than Chrome.

  8. I often have this kind of problem with recaptcha and not only on geocaching.com.

Besides, I wonder why there is a recaptcha on the "Solution checker" of mystery caches since when you use the "Solution checker", you are already logged on geocaching.com. Therefore, geocaching.com knows that we are a geocacher and not a robot...

  9. We have 101 counties in Québec and this has not changed for several years.

But recently, changes have been made without reason to the division of the counties of Québec on the Project-GC database.

Three counties of Québec were split in two, which means that we end up with six counties instead of three, which is an error in relation to the reality.

The three affected counties before the changes:
    - Brome-Missisquoi
    - La Haute-Yamaska
    - Québec

The three (now six) affected counties after the changes:
    - Brome-Missisquoi
    - Brome-Missisquoi (Québec)
    - La Haute-Yamaska
    - La Haute-Yamaska (Québec)
    - Québec
    - Québec (Québec)

Consequently, the results of Challenge Checkers using Québec counties are inconsistent with reality.

Example for me: I have found 17 caches in "Brome-Missisquoi" county.

But following recent changes on the database, I end up with:
    - 9 caches found in "Brome-Missisquoi" county;
    - 8 caches found in "Brome-Missisquoi (Québec)" county.

Very frustrating for geocachers who were qualified for certain challenges but no longer are because of this erroneous division in the database.

Question: Who is responsible for the division of counties on the database, Groundspeak or Project-GC?

Groundspeak or Project-GC: Please cancel these recent changes and return to the initial division of the 101 counties of Québec.

    Regards!
