  1. After a couple of DNF's at one of my caches-I wrote a note and added more hints that resulted in people find it. This is what I want, when I spend the time and gas money I like to be rewarded for the hunt. In out of town DNF's-another cacher then logged a DNF. I keep hoping that the owner will check out the cache or maybe this year a reviewer will ask what is going on. In December I logged a DNF-when I took an icy bath 12 feet from the cache. I wanted to warn others that the snow covered up a big hazard. I will try this cache again in April.
  2. I found some at a Dollar store-a little yellow tint from age, but that didn't bother me.
  3. I have only found 2 little glass jars and there were perched up in forks on tree-- well protected. This winter I have finished off a jar of peanut butter and miracle whip so I can have those PLASTIC containers for new caches this spring.
  4. 54 and in 7 months I can get a senior coffee at McD's!
  5. I read the topic-because I want to learn something. I only know one other geocacher, and I'm more active in the sport than this person, so I will be visiting more-I'm still doing paper caching since I haven't figured out how to work a PDA. Maybe this spring....
  6. I want the person to know I appreciate that they took the time to place a cache!-- so words of encourgement I hope will bring more caches. I have to drive some distance to reach any new ones-found all the local. I know I like it when there is something more than TFTC.
  7. I take my snow shoes and my fold up shovel, a cc ski pole (probe) and head out, and let my gps do the hard work of finding out where to dig if necessary. I just found one last Monday as I was showing a neighbor our great sport. We had a great time-a roundtrip hike of 2.25 mile hike-we looked at things in the nearby state park too. The neat thing is my neighbor thinks I'm great since we found it! The weather was mild-in the 20's and no wind which is unusual for the Fargo-Moorhead area.
