  1. Thanks for clearing that up: makes sense, but I guess I was being too literal and expecting to see the word "missing" not "unknown location"

Sorry for any confusion, but I referenced the wrong trackable; this is the one I was referring to: TB9GWDC ▼ Friendship Bracelet 3 - Cachekinz My question was this: I dropped this TB, which I don't own, in a cache that I own and it went missing from that cache. I sent a message to the TB owner informing that it went missing and suggesting they mark the TB as missing; they haven't responded to my message. My question was, as the owner of the cache where it went missing, can I mark the TB as missing? I am now noticing that the TB is no longer in the inventory of the cache and the TB page shows "Recently Spotted: Unknown Location" I don't recall doing this, but if I clicked on the "mark as missing" option when it was still in my cache's inventory, would that have changed the TBs page to show "unknown location" rather than "missing"?

  4. A trackable went missing from a cache I own and I notified the TB owner 9 months ago, but they have not responded. I thought there was a way for a cache owner to "mark missing" a trackable, but I can't find it.
  5. Thanks; I suspected as much. I think my solution to working thru my MAC is going to be to upgrade my OSX version to a higher one and then I think it will interface with the Magellan Communicator program . . . I hope!
  6. In looking for a way to sync my Magellan eXplorist GC with my MAC, I came across this app: Geocache Manager. Has anyone used this? I can't seem to access the help file on the app: do I need to buy it before I can access Help?
  7. I'm sorry but I think that I still don't understand "dipping". I recently received a geocoin (TB1YVZ8) and activated it and put it in my Inventory. I am not ready to set it on a journey and decided to accumulate mileage by dipping, but when I went to log it there are only two types of logs: "Write note" or "Discovered it". So I tried moving it from Inventory to Collection and I got the same options for logging. Thanks for any help. ~Roger
