  1. Having been one of a bunch of muppets who have participated in this lunacy, I must say the sudden call for rules is amusing After all, it is grown adults forgoing normal life for 24 hours to hunt for tupperware (sometimes in the dark), whilst dodging the attentions of Her Majesty's Constabulary It is a harmless piece of fun and nothing to be taken AT ALL seriously. Heres to the next record.
  2. Thanks very much for your kind thoughts. It does seem to have been the longest pregnancy on earth (well, for a human!). Every cache found by me was punctuated with the statement "oh, I wonder if this will be the last cache I find before 'Dudley' is born". It turned out the last cache I found was actually 8 days before I gave birth . Happily, we can take the towels out of the car now We have already been out caching together. We found a cache placed especially for Isobel's arrival so it would have been rude not to bag the FTF on the way home from hospital. Isobel's first cache at the grand age 22 hours! Pity she slept though the experience. Kids! Thanks again Chris, Mick, Eva and Isobel
  3. A fantastic achievement. Congratulations. Chris, Mick, Eva and Dudley the Bump
  4. A big, if what belated, congratulations to Cats Eyes for breaking the record for the most FTFs in 24 hours - 22 virgin caches found. Almost 1 an hour! Also congratulations for your 800th find - which funniliy enough was a FTF too AND gaining top spot in the 'Virgin Deflower' list. I'd like to say thanks too for the great caches you place. Onwards and upwards! Chris, Mick, Eva and Dudley the Bump
  5. We are looking at a caching trip across the sea. Does anyone know of a source of electronic maps (memory map compatible) for the country of Norway? I do have the pro (non OS) version of MM that allows the importing of TIFF files and the like. Thanks in advance Mick

  7. I have been very negligent over the last few months and allowed my PQ's to become out of date. So what I need to know is, if anyone has an up to date list of the date ranges required to keep my PQ results correct. I know that the current PQ limit does meant that they will need running over 2 weeks but that is not a problem. Thanks in advance Mick
  8. You need to install the firmware Install at your own risk
  9. you need the updated firmware You install this at your own risk!
  10. We have one of these units on trial at work. It (at present) requires the preloaded app and maps or a seperately purchased SD card with it all setup for you. You cannot (at present) plug the unit into a PC and upload MM to it, even with the latest version, the way you can a PDA. I think the amount of pressure being placed on the software/hardware vendor, they may come round to allowing this to happen in a soon to released upgrade of MM. In the meantime don't spend your cash too soon.
  11. A big congratulations to Huge on bagging his 1,000th cache at his 'Welcome Home' event today. Onwards and upwards! Chris, Mick, Eva and Dudley the bump

  13. Congratulations to MikeG on reaching 1,300 finds today. Well done mate. Chris, Mick and Eva
  14. We have done a fair few caches with the bosses permission. Most memorable was the excellent 'down under' with Mr P and Mr Sparkes. I do work out of hours for them and they think it fair to return the favour. ALthough they did think us mad for doing the cache mentioned above
  15. I roughen the container and then use hot glue. I do recommend placing the glue & magnet inside the container. Also place the container on a ferrous metal (Iron or some steels) pop on the glue and then the magnet. The magnetic pull towards the metal will aid the adhesion process []
  16. Thanks to everyone for the good wishes. We have had a ball over the past 18 months. We've met some great folk along the way and had some fantastic days out in places we would never have known about if it hadn't been for geocaching. Onwards and upwards. Chris Mrs Rebel Alliance
