  1. that would be nice, but I guess I can ask for something a little more realistic. in lou of cash "Pay it forward" Here's the best I can do for now, kimmyroo. When I get some more I will forward it ? Cheers. (I'm a cheapskate I Know!)
  2. glad you like it! I would love to go to New Zeland but I am totally broke Is this font color better? Thanks, once again, kimmyroo. Looks great! Perhaps we should all be paying you for your skills, efforts and time. Then you might be able to afford the air fare to NZ
  3. here is my take Many thanks, kimmyroo. Its just great and I will be delighted to use it. I just don't have your enviable skills. If you are in our neighbourhood, Central Otago, New Zealand, and are keen on doing some geocaching, fishing, sightseeing or just chilling out over coffee, email me and I will tell you how to find me. BTW this is a general invitation. Once again, many thanks. As I said "just great". I wondered, however, if it would be possible to make the "Onslow Fisherman" stand out a bit more? No worries if you haven't the time or whatever as I will still love it as is. Thanks

  5. For more info about Groundspeaks Logo Usage Policy....Click Here! This is one of the avatars I have used: and this is the other: Of the two I prefer the "fisherman" as it accords with my nom de plume. However neither is particularly original both being "clips" off the Net. You guys are doing some wonderful work far and away beyond anything I could dream of. I would be very grateful if you could do something for a New Zealand geocacher. BTW my GPSr is a Garmin II Plus, an oldie but a goodie (that could almost be a description of me!) Thanks if you are able and/or inclined to help.
  6. This is my dearly beloved who isn't exactly against geocaching, just wishes that I wouldn't spend soooo much time at it. She thinks I'll get over it, Fat chance!
  7. Is this a W.A.G. or what! Not my dearly beloved I might add
  8. Decided one 2 3 to do that would have been rather naughty
  9. Hm. Never thought about it. But it doesn't say "finds" it says "visits" -- which is more or less accurate, unless somebody posts a note just to say Hi or something. If you're DNF'ing stuff without visiting the cache site, you've got a fundamental disconnect with the whole geocaching concept Beautiful photo, anyhow. I wouldn't dream of posting a DNF with making an effort to find the darn thing. So far I've been lucky and found those that I set out to find. On one occasion the weather (snowing & I was miles from home) and the time of day (darkness) beat me but I didn't log a DNF, never occurred to me, wouldn't have been the right thing to do! Try this one!

  11. That's exactly what I mean. I agree that notes serve a useful purpose, but having them count as finds I find misleading.
  12. Why are logged notes added to "Finds" on the cache pages? They are not and I would have thought, probably wrongly, that they would have been easy to separate out. Thought you might like to see how beautiful New Zealand is. The photo is of Lake Rotoiti in the north of the South Island of New Zealand. One of many I took in that area while on a campervan holiday.
  13. How rare is it for the double of TFT and First Find. It happened at my latest cache site, link below Coal Creek Cryptic Challenge
  14. Thanks - as you can see you are a good teacher.
  15. I am trying to get an image into a message but get the advice that "dynamic" pages are not allowed. I haven't a clue what that is all about. Can anyone help me - please --------------------
