  1. Final number on the sale: 700 coins. Not as many as the 2005 coin, but then the geocoin market has matured - meaning there are a lot more coins available out there and people are no longer scrambling to get every single one. In today's geocoin world, 700 is a pretty good number. I copied this from the WGA forums.
  2. I've just placed my order for a young firey red head. I think I'm in love!!
  3. I posted a question a while back about how one goes about putting a picture into the body of a cache page, and someone linked an 'html for dummies' site. That is what I'd like here too please. Isn't there a 'GSAK Macro for dummies' site?
  4. I've noticed on some people's geocaching home pages, that they have really detailed list of caching milestones, finds, etc. I learned that this was from a Macro that you can run from the GSAK program. I've got GSAK (the most recent version) and a pocket query of my finds..... now what?? Please help!?!?
  5. Some cachers start going on their own as soon as there parents let them. On a four-wheeler or in a car as soon as they have a license. A 16-year-old with a drivers license and a GPS is a far cry from a 21-year-old. The concern was not for who gets the winnings, but over the legality of placing an age restricted item in a cache. I wouldn’t want to face contributing to the delinquency of a minor charges, just for placing a "cool" FTF prize. It wouldn't look good for a family friendly sport/hobby to be labeled as doing something illegal. While some people may enjoy finding lotto tickets in a cache; this does not mean we should engage in illegality for those eager scratchers (don’t we get enough scratching from poison ivy?). Many people would enjoy a bootleg DVD movie, hacked topo programs, or even copies of the latest delorme or streets and trips, but we do not put those in caches. We do in Minnesota!
  6. If you go into your Paypal account, there be a little place to click off to the right of your transaction allowing you to track your order. Just an FYI from your primate friend in Minnesota!!

  15. Hey Double R, I got the coins in the mail today. Thanks so much for your generosity. Our post office in Rushford is reopened now. It was near GZ of alot of the hard core flooding so they are starting to make a little progress. I had to drive 10 miles for about 2 months just to get my mail.
  16. There is a cacher in my area, the infamous Zuma!, that is an FTF machine. I think he has something like 400+ FTF's so far. Well, I was attending an Event at his house this summer, as everyone departed, it was only me and one other cacher sitting around the fire just chatting and enjoying each others company. All of the sudden, Zuma comes out to the fire and ask us if we wanted to go get this cache that was just published. 'Well yeah, I can't think of nothing better to do at 1:30am' So we drove to the park looking for a micro in a swamp at 1:30am. Did I mention the coords were WAY off. Zuma was walking out in the water as I was searching in the nettles. All in all, it took the 3 of us about 25 minutes to come up with the hootie. Keep on caching in the free world!
