  1. Hello from Rushford Minnesota. I've been known to cache at all times of the day or night in any weather...even winter. It is alot tougher I admit. It is a little easier though when one uses the attributes accordingly. Also, caches that seem too easy to have a hint in the summer are much different in the winter. IMHO, every cache should have a hint. Geocaching, to me, is the perfect activity. It has introduced me to so any nice people and has brought me to so many amazing places that I'd hate to see it suffer just because the ground happens to be white. Therefore, every cache I've placed after Nov. 1 has been winter friendly (at least 50cm off the ground), and I've even started a bookmark off winter friendly caches: http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.a...b6-a8eb910bef49 Maybe this will help other cachers know which caches to visit during the winter months.
  2. GC&P Club November 2009 - Geocaching Friendships Geocoin adopted from sunsetmeadowlark.... thanks!! I've got a coin from the GPS Maze available for adoption...who's next?! Mission accomplished (I finally figured out how to put a coin up for adoption). Thanks so much for developing this unique mission and I hope everyone has a Happy Holiday!

  5. Plus we sure like having you stop by all of our caches and providing your smiling photos and kind words in the logs...now how do I go about getting me one of those CachingMonkey Pathtags? Hummm what have I done? I guess just by publishing and collaborating on over 30 ECs in Wisconsin (and one in Iowa) I have brought awareness to both ECs and the cool geology all around us but isn't that the point? Also I have donated all but 9 of those ECs to other folks so that they too could enjoy the fun of ECS. Hey Mr.Lostby7, I'll hopefully be seeing you in Waukesha next month. You've already earned one of my Pathtags by developing those EC's near Horicon. Lostby7 is indeed the Godfather of EarthCaching in Wisconsin. Anyone out there who is lookng for some unforgetable EarthCaching experiences, visit Wisconsin.
  6. I've been hosting EarthCaching Events in the State of Iowa over the last two years. In this area, EarthCaches are not quite as mainstream as they might be. Especially considering the geological diversity of this area. So, I've been organizing Events. I've had pretty good turn out the last two years. It seems as though alot of people are intimidated by the entire process of getting an EarthCache approved. It seems like my efforts have been positive. There are several more fantastic EarthCache is this part of the Country.
  7. Rushford Minnesota has plenty of good places that deserve a cache.

    ISQ Finds

lagrac, the only WSQ caches that are connected with the ISQ are the ones that we have hidden in Oconto county. There are some very nice other WSQ caches around the state, but the do not follow the qualifications fo the ISQ. We wil be placing more soon in Marinette county now that the snow is receeding. Barry of sweetlife. Thanks for the information Barry...looks as though I need to making myself a caching run to Oconto County.

    ISQ Finds

What about WSQ (Wisconsin Spirit Quest) Caches? Just out of curiosity, I started counting how many WSQ finds I have...I got to 102 and then got too bored.
  10. Monkey Jr. loves the coin (even though there are dogs on it). She told me to let you know, that she'll get it moving for you next week.

My town is slowly being rebuilt, but it seems as though our post office still isn't quite right. I work under the assumption that I receive about 50% of my mail. Luckily, I received both of my Secret Santa Missions (one all the way from the UK...Wow!!). Better late than never, right?
  12. In my opinion, the best EarthCache in the State of Iowa (Iowa is my State) is : http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...0c-3b9f9ad8dc51 It is located down by Maquoketa Iowa. The funny thing about this EarthCache, is that the posted coordinates are not that of the cave itself. The developer of this EarthCache tells you approximately where the cave is in the EarthCache's write up. It is up to you to find it. By doing this, I ended up discovering alot of unique about this special area by just looking for the cave. The 'road' to the cave is very primitive, the hike is rough. In general, a very cool place.
  13. Your Welcome!! Nothing but the best for Alberta's EarthCaching Queen!!

  17. I hoted an EarthCaching 101 Event called EarthCaches Rock: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...c0-75b1bc8487f2 Sunday October 19th near Bluffton Iowa. It was amazing, we had EarthCachers from 4 different States show up, about 20 people total. I had a question and answer session followed by a guided tour to two local EarthCaches. I had such positive feed back, that I'm planning on making this Event semiannual, as well as hosting an EarthCaching 201 Event next year. The 201 will be showing people unique areas and what it takes to develop EarthCaches in those areas.
  18. How about Regional Meetings? Maybe MidWest, East, West, etc. Although....going to Colorado does seem pretty nice!
  19. I've updated all of my EarthCaches as well as my EarthCaching Event to reflect this. I've also got the word in Wisconsin and I'll get the word out in Iowa this evening. Thank you Geoaware for bringing this to our attention.
  20. Awesome picture!! Looks like I need to plan me a trip to Eastern Kentucky!
  21. Got mine ordered. You know things are good when Canadian Singers are being quoted!! Now give me some Neil Young lyrics please.
  22. I've got a used Rhino Skin PDA that fits a Palm T/X that I don't need anymore. I'll take $7.00 for it or an unactivated geocoin.
  23. Monkey Jr. Bismarck Bismarck again. Bismarck and Monkey Jr. I do love my geo-cats!! I can wait till your coin gets done. I need two.
