  1. I have used blank copper or aluminum key tags which hold up very well.
  2. Maybe the Hotdogs Off Trail could use these for signature items. Hmmm...24,000 caches - could take us through a few years of hunting. Hotdogs Off Trail
  3. Don't know what I am doing wrong. On new hide and seek page...I'm logged in, click on new search and check filter out found/hid, no matter what kind on type I put, when I click on seek...I am returned to the same page. Need to know what I'm doing wrong.
  4. When in Black Earth, I reccommend Park of My Youth, Indian Lake, and Walking in Walking Iron. All are good caches. Hope you have a great time in the area. Jeff
  5. The area looks deserving of a cache. And a new catagory - Do It Yourself Cache. If you want to hunt it as is go for it. If you have time and want to help better the cache, take in a container and tradeables. I think these placers just found a nice area they wanted to share and maybe not the time to return a to do the cache more conventionally. So let's help DIY!
  6. From experience, when geocaching in the rain, stay on the same side of the creek as your vehicle. Nudge, nudge, know what I mean?
  7. Don't want to start a big rush, but we got free geocaching business cards printed at Vistaprint.com They turned out really nice.

  9. My team hunted a new cache last week and I got to carry out (3/4 mile) a toaster oven that came with its own garbage bag. Why'd someone carry it in??? It seems to be the same percentage of the population, but the population is growing. We have to not give up, and teach our coming generations.

  11. We came up with our team name because it fit us on many levels: We love to hike off trail, half of our team are real "hot" dogs especially in the summer, and way back in college I did a "junk art" thing through the mail and was known as Dirty John's Hotdog Stand, for this a friend went to a gumball company and bought all the little plastic hotdogs they had and gave them to me as a birthday present. We leave two plastic hotdogs in the caches we find, and I think we'll be good for a couple hundred caches (My wife is thrilled I'm finally parting with them) They are very small so take up little room in a cache. 12. Would also like to send my thanks. My wife and I have only been caching since January 2002, but have had great fun and been introduced to new places. We just returned from our first trip to the Ozarks and used caches to find areas of interest to hike and to return to in the future. Emailed a few players in Arkansas and got tremendously helpful replys from all. Cachers are fun people.
