    Battle

Sounds fun, but what about any battles? Particularly, what happens when a player loses a battle. For example, his life bar runs out, etc.

    Battle

Does anyone have any recommended ideas to set up battles in a RPG-style Wherigo? Also, what is typical to occur if the player loses battle? Most appreciated!
  3. Priorities: they exist for a reason. If you bring a life into this world, you owe it to them to raise them.
  4. If you are at home, and run a pocket query, any caches with corrected coordinates will show at the corrected location.
  5. Gel pen because it writes better on moist logs.
  6. Don't worry about what others think. If you have something with waterproof containers that you maintain, and think people will hike or bike to get them all, hide away. For the record, I would find the series if it was close to me because I like biking on rails to trails.
  7. Are people allowed to like your hides without giving it a favorite point? There's a lot, lot of caches that I've liked, but not enough to give a favorite point to. Newbie smartphone cachers are not premium members, and thus do not accumulate favorite points to distribute, so it could be that.
  8. You can do this right now via Pocket Query.
  9. I've done a few, love them more if they are puzzles.
  10. Based on a 10 day tour last year, those were much of the same caches on my itinerary. I think you and crew will have a blast. If you could fit in Dingle Peninsula, The Burren, or Galway, those were nice also. If you have questions, feel free to contact me.
  11. Agreed. The tree climbing scenario is infinitely more commonplace in my area, but most would consider the remote find scenario cheesy (if not outright cheating).
  12. Or an event cache with 250 temporary caches.
  13. He/she must be very well liked in your local community.
  14. Is this a joke? C'Mon, April Fools is months away.
  15. The hop on hop off tour bus in Dublin stops at most of Dublin's most famous caches. Kilarney and the Ring of Kerry are interesting, but I found the Dingle Peninsula better.
  16. You have some great advice from.the cachers above. Good luck on placing your geocache. I have a cemetery multi like you are describing, and listed the waypoints as questions to answer. The finders thus far seem to enjoy it.
  17. Yes, it has been argued for and against the idea that smartphone cachers have hurt this hobby. If nothing else, I will agree that they hurt the trackables aspect of the game.
  18. Woohoo! Thanks Jayme. We're always looking to improve the Geocaching experience.
  19. Welcome to the disappointing world of trackables. Most disappear in the first 6 months.
  20. Has it been almost 10 years already? Time flies. Happy almost 10th anniversary, this thread. We sure have missed you.
  21. With the October 29th website update, geocaching.com updated to a often requested feature: "Corrected coordinates in PQ results viewed on map: When a Premium user views a Pocket Query on the /map, any caches with "corrected coordinates" will now display in the new location." BRAVO Groundspeak! With that being said, can we now add these to make this feature even better? 1. On a PQ map, icons with corrected coordinates are a different color, or are somehow contrasted from the same icons WITHOUT corrected coordinates. AND 2. The PQ filter box "That (And)" should include the filter, "have corrected coordinates" in order to filter geocaches with corrected coordinates. Thoughts?
  22. Very glad to see this one finally happen! Thanks! Agreed! This is good news indeed.
  23. I had no idea about project GC. Thanks for sharing.
  24. A local hide is a lip balm tube under a roof. Because of the roof, the container remains dry. If the container was anywhere else, it wouldn't survive.
