  1. imho - you will always find someone to complain about something. im sure some kid somewhere would try to eat on e and you would be blamed for it... but i like the idea. unless they were to break (and youre right - they are tough to break open - i had to do some for a cub scout ceremony) As far as I recall, these things are totally non-toxic, and it says so on the package. At least they were when we used to break them open, and put the liquid all over our tongue's in the army. You really need to liven up a GP medium tent at night, you know? I wouldn't recommend this for children though, and they kind of taste bad. Ok where we ever in the same unit?? Or maybe all us ex army pucks where sick in the mind at times
  2. Check out the units at walmart while I did not get mine there they seamed like some decent units. One place to try if you have them near you is pawn shops thats where I got mine. I pick up a Magellan Triton 2000. for around $150 this unit has a lot of bells that I still don't know how to use though I did use the built in flash light to find a cach as the sun was setting. One thing though if you find one at a pawn shop and they say on we also have the national geographic map for it do bother as we though oh great maps we don't have to buy only problem is the previous owner registered the maps so we couldn't use them at all.
  3. I have one right now from Germany that qoute from his page " Hello, my name is Willy Tiny. I would like to explore the world. I would be delighted if you would lead me through many countries and as many continents. " So I'm guessing he wants to go around the world just hope its not in 40 days
  4. Still new to geocaching but seams like these micros are the big thing up here. Gotta say there kind of a turn off to me logs are small can hardly read them with my eyes. So are micros the in thing to hide these days or am I just in an area that has an odd amount of them?
  5. Maps not working here am going to try firefox and see what happens.
  6. Have had my PN-40 give negative numbers as well. Checked my butt, cache wasn't there... If the cache is in my butt I don't want it!!!
  7. OK so guess I just need to get used to this unit. It is my first, heck last time I had to get to coordinates all we had was a map and compass that back than we didn't have cool things to find.
  8. Hello I'm real new to this have found two caches so far. My question here is how do I know if maybe there is something wrong with my unit or if the cache has been moved? I went out this afternoon looking for my second find and was starting to get frustrated when I got lucky and found it. Only problem is my unit was saying that I was still 16ft away. Last night when I found my first I was showing that I was right on top of that one. If I don't believe it to be my unit what is the proper thing to do? I signed the log than put it back where I found it since I was not sure what to do in this situation. I am using a Magellan triton 2000 anybody using this unit know if maybe this is a problem with these units?
