  1. For ages I have been using the desktop backgrounds from http://www.geocaching.com/goodies/default.aspx then all of a sudden they stopped. What happened to them? Did they die a death?
  2. Woooo! Thanks for the help, I had been struggling for a few days.
  3. http://www.wmcaching.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1246 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=1b99b0b7-6b02-4c8d-a2e3-c92fd9e2cad6 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC3FV25
  4. Hmmmmm, I wonder what is going on here... Could be an April fools joke I guess?
  5. I very much enjoyed the videos too. This is very sad news indeed. RIP Sven.
  6. I have done that a few times I know a fair few of the local cachers so tend to recognise them, I have spotted a few recently though
  7. I got the the stage of waiting 5 mins per macro and was running three in a row sometimes. I gave in and paid that that point!
  8. If you don't want to pay for GSAK and use a supported browser you can use CacheList You can create a printable list of caches and create navigation files in loc and gpx format. You can easy click on the map on geocaching.com to number next to cache and add cache to CacheList. CacheList icon will increase and you will be able to create printable list or create LOC, GPX, WPT or CSV file.

    Street View

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, and apologies if it has but is there any way of getting a google street view view on the large map (i.e. http://www.geocaching.com/map/beta/default.aspx). It is there on the smaller maps on individual cache pages, but not this one. Thanks, Adam
  10. Oh Stevo185 I only just got this reply so I've missed the event! How typical is that?! I've asked to join emCache group and am waiting for an email of acceptance. Hopefully see you at the next event? Thanks anyway......would have liked to have come tonight I have accepted you the other day, you should be able to log in normally now. If you want to get to know some of us try posting here http://www.emcache.com/index.php/topic,32.0.html
  11. Head for emCache The east Midlands Geocaching Community There are a handful of our members living in Ilkeston.
  12. Took about 30 seconds to solve that one! Here's our contribution to blank-cache-page-puzzles ! Mark And as the last finder to log ! I can testify what an enjoyable experience it can be to investigate a blank page. Unsure why more folk don't seek puzzles including the more obscure ones. http://coord.info/GC353GK Is blank too.
  13. About 6 months ago now I started to place coins in caches with my details on. These coins are much like the calling cards come people leave but a little it more special. I would show you a photo of one but I never took any. Hopefully by now some of them have started to travel around. Let me know if you come across one and tell me where it was. Even better if you could move it on!
  14. Half the time I don't even know what the date is so often right the date for a few days a go in. What is the best thing to do if you have done a series of say 10 come home seen it was the 28th but then remembered you had written the 26th in all the logs?
  15. I quite quickly got into the habit of always carrying a pen. It is helpful for all sorts of things, not just caching.
  16. I have exactly the same copilot unit. I personally keep mine in my pocket and the phone in my hand!
  17. You can do it with a Pocket Query OR using GSAK 8 and the API tools, but otherwise no.
  18. Not the same cache but GC2PB8A was recently re enabled near me the other day. Is the fact that there is no box allowed?
  19. I like the new logbook link especially the friends logs tab. Just need to add some more friends now!
  20. I have a kindle and can confirm that you can do whatever you want on its web browser. I had never thought of using it for caching! It does take a long while to load most pages, and the UI is not exactly great for browsing. There is no technical reason why this could not be done though.
  21. I had a quick play earlier and there is no user 1, and if you look at the pages from 1 to 10 most of the cacher, I would not call active. Form 10 I tried adding zeros and most of them aren't active either! I would guess that less than half were actually out finding caches or a regular basis. Be interesting to find out though you then get into the problem of defining 'active' though!
  22. and a Ghost (AFAIK they share a flat) There is indeed a Vampire, ghost and two werewolves. Over to MartyBartfast it is
