  1. Your right Mob, I'm just setting here waiting for a cache to be approved in 46970. I got a tip that a new would be popping up and I'm gonna make the FTF run.....
  2. Here I set broken hearted, tried to **** but only farted.
  3. I think it would be a cool feature to be able to search for difficult caches specically (5/5's). In the mean time does anyone know of any true 5/5's in the midwest?
  4. Speaking of Lincolns birthday, was in Illinois today and found The Journal, all I can can say is wow. If anyone can do this one is under 8 hours I'll kiss your.........................
  5. Gonna go finish up The Journal on Sunday. Will be at the parking coords around 10am. If anyone wants to give the midwests hardest / best cache a try come on out. This cache is awesome and worth the trip, and I have haven't even completed it yet.
  6. I didn't make the list again and I have more ISQ finds than the bottom dude. Oh well, maybe next time.
  7. Your right, But I did say "most' experienced cachers....
  8. I am probably wrong but it seems to me that most "experienced" cachers never take the side of the new guy. The newbie’s are fun to bash in the forums right? Maybe this person is a little thin skinned but who cares? I might take a little offense if I was criticized about something after my very first find....dang, cut em a little slack. Then, to top it off, you decide to put the whole thing on the forum, was that really a good idea? Now this poor guy can get bashed by all the other "experienced" cachers. Leave this person alone and let them learn about this game on their own. The "training" that comes from the veterans is useless and always inconsistent. A lot of you people take something enjoyable and turn it into a turd. 10 finds or 1000 finds, your still just someone looking for a plastic big mac in the woods.
  9. UPDATE We went out to the OKIE yesterday to do some work on the challenge. Right now the plan is to turn this whole cache into a Puzzle / Multi begining with the challenge, pending approval of coarse. Contact is being made with our local reviewer. Anyway, it looks like there will be 6 total stages covering somewhere between 5 and 8 miles depending on which route you choose. I don't think anyone planning on attending will be disappointed. A date has not been selected yet but it will be sometime this spring. May 6th has already been ruled out due to another event. You may want to bring a lunch............................... On a side note we saw a bald eagle souring above the river at the circle parking area while we were there yesterday.
  10. Hey Beff....Don't get down. No matter what, you can always go caching. Some caches/cachers are good and some are bad but you will always be outside enjoying yourself seeking them. I've been criticized for questioning the politics of this game but I have realized that all that is not really important. Maybe it's just part of the GAME. A lot of things in life are a "joke", the key is to not let it bother you. My advice, to anyone, when it comes to geocaching is enjoy yourself, your family, your friends, your dog, nature, the bologna sandwich in your pack, or whatever, and forget about any and all BS that may go along with it. I'm a rookie in this game but thousands of finds doesn’t make your opinion more valuable than mine. Here's a question for ya, why would you let an opinion / comment of someone you don't even know or ever met bother you? That person is not important in your life. Keep caching and forget about these beeyatches.
  11. I went to a cache once....actually twice and found two caches within 15 of each other. I assumed that someone was trying to replace a cache they couldn't find. Do I have point????NO. I didn't really care, signed both logs and moved on....What was I saying?????nevermind Ever heard ShineDown 's cover of lynard Sknards "Simple Man"? It's on now and it's throwing me off my train of thought. My posts don't make any dam sense, I'll never be a moderator. peace
  12. Left this morning at 6:00am, got back home at 10:30pm 8 full hours in the woods attempting this cache with the rest spent driving. I'm sorry to report we don't get to log a find........YET! We completed every stage but the last one because we failed to comprehend one very important clue. We figured out our mistake about 30 minutes after we left which actually made us feel better. THIS CACHE IS NO JOKE, GPS said we trekked 17 miles, I may not be alive in the morning. Not only do you need to be physically prepared but your also have to keep an open mind and stay thinking (outside the box). I cannot say enough about this cache, a lot of work into it, it is well worth the trip. I won’t give any advice because I don’t want to spoil it for anybody. All I can say is be prepared. One thing is for sure, at days end, I could care less about the Colts right now. Gotta go, I’m going to go dig out grandma’s old walker out of the basement..
  13. The COLTS lost on me again....22 years in INDIANA, when is it going to happen? I can't take much more of this... SKULLZ, RedDragon, and I are going to go after The Journal tomorrow to attempt to make ourselves feel better. I'll let you know how we did...Probably a bad mistake..
  14. I know this doesn't have anything to do with GEOCACHING in INDIANA, but everyone please take a moment and pray for our Colts, or put on you lucky jersey, eat chili, drink beer or whatever it is you do to gain a victory. We need to get it done this year..............................
  15. I'm not sure, Maybe you could figure out the center of the county a different way? Maybe google earth or something?
  16. Peru Indiana......but "HI" anyway
  17. So we're on for Friday the 13th?????????I aint scarrrrreddd.....But I'm not sure about EB and Eberfam.......they might be a little yella.....
  18. Yeah I said it. It's a common misconception that cold temperatures cause people to get sick. You are actually less likely to get sick in the cold. Not to mention beer stays cold in backpacks in January....an added bonus. Anyway, March is fine with me, that's usually when it snows around here doesn't it??????
  19. Eager Beaver, I hear your affraid of the cold. What up with that? Doing the Okie cache prior to the challenge could prove to be an atvantage.... You aint scaaarred is you?
  20. Maybe a black rock will be a clue in the challenge? Is anyone paying attention?
  21. BRP = The Black Rock Project. That’s what we call ourselves. I could tell you why we use that name but I would have to kill you (that was just a joke for you over sensitive moderators out there). We're basically just a bunch of guys who are committed to friendship and having a good time and getting away from the wife's from time to time. We’re a brotherhood, a fraternity if you will. Geocaching is just one of the many things we enjoy doing.
