  1. Here is a clue to the problem. I discovered that the buttons don't show in full screen view but if I change do reduced view (with the button in the upper right corner of the screen) the list buttons show. So I can manage for the time being but it is not very convenient to have to toggle between views to be able to work so I do hope that the problem will be solved.
  2. Strange, I also use Chrome and still don't see the buttons. I don't see them in Edge either. Nor in Firefox.
  3. I work a lot with lists but since yesterday the buttons to map lists, add or delete caches in list, etc do no longer show. Also, some time ago the printouts of lists changed from a nice layout to a not very nice and useful layout (different for portrait and landscape printouts).
  4. There seems to be a general problem showing archived caches. When I use the filter function to show caches found by me the archived caches no longer show (they did the other day ...).
  5. This problem seems to be related to the cookie settings. When I unclick Advertising, the message center pages goes blank (tested Chrome, Edge, Firefox - same result in all). For a quick fix: allow all cookie settings (choose the down arrow in the top right corner / Settings / Cookies / Change your consent / Allow all (i.e including Advertising). However, this requires a permanent solution - we really don't like the idea of being forced to accept cookies for advertising purposes.
  6. I received your mail. However the sender is noreply@geocaching.com so I guess I can't e-mail an answer.
  7. The problem with the e-mail function seems to be even bigger. Last Tuesday (July 28) I sent an e-mail to another cacher. I received a copy of it but the other cacher never got the e-mail.
  8. The error in our "Finds for Each Day of the Year" table is still there.
  9. Today I sent an e-mail to a fellow cacher through the Send Email function. As I always do, I kept the checkmark at "I want to send my email address along with this message" (and also at "Email me a copy of this message"). I got my copy but no reply from the other cacher. Now, much later, we have discovered that the reply was not sent to my mailbox but to noreply@geocaching.com. This is a problem - we must be able to trust the reply function.
  10. It is true that we logged some lab caches on the 28th (10 not 2). We have logged lab caches on other dates too without any problems with the statistics. The problem might seem small since it's "only" 2 caches that are wrong on each date but the bigger worry is that geocaching.com shows different information for the same thing on different pages of the site.
  11. This seems to be a discussion forum but where can I report errors on the website? That is, errors that I want someone to actually look into and hopefully correct, rather than to discuss them with fellow cachers. Please, help me to find the right channel for such matters.
  12. Suddenly an error has occurred in our statistics table Finds for Each Day of the Year. It now reports 20 finds for May 27 (it should be 18) and 81 for May 28 (it should be 83). We have checked all the finds on the dates in question and they are correct in the All Geocaches list and adds up to the correct numbers, i.e 18 and 83 respectively. We think this strange error might have occurred sometime during June 2020. What has happened? We hope this small problem can be fixed - we must be able to trust the numbers ... .
  13. Just a last friendly piece of advice to the GC developers: don't think that you always know which one and only work method is best for all of us …
  14. OK, I'm back at the old filter function - thanks! Question: Will the possibility to opt back stay or is it just for a transition period?
  15. So to be able to search for a GC-code I have to know a GC-code - sounds a bit like Catch 22 … Anyway, I looked up a GC-code, then clicked on Geocaching.com Map and got a map with the old layout, i.e no option to opt out to the old filter function. Sorry, but I don't understand how to do this.
  16. I'm on the homepage and don't even know how to get a new map from which I can try to switch back ...
  17. PLEASE give us back the old filter function which provided a list which in a second step could be mapped. With that function I could get a list of e.g all caches whose name contains a certain word, regardless of where they are located. Now I only get (some of) the caches in my vicinity on a grey map showing no map details.
  18. Ok, I found the new map now but how do I get a list of the caches I've filtered, a map is fine but not always what I need?
  19. I don't understand the answer. What new map and what "what's this"? The only map I find is the usual one where I (on the left side) can filter cache types but I don't see anything like the filter button which used to lead me to a page where I could search by name, cache size, cache hider, etc, etc.
  20. The Filter button that used to be to the right of the magnifying glass on top of the homepage has disappeared - how do we reach the Filter page to do various searches now?
  21. … anymore with Explorer. Bug or feature?
  22. I started a new topic on this issue "Google maps and Norton Internet Security" since I found my solution rather specific and possibly not a general one. I have found that the problem is the Auto-Protect feature in earlier versions of Norton Internet Security (pre 2008) combined with Internet Explorer. IE 7 and NIS 2008 now works OK for me as does Firefox. See a longer explation in the topic mentioned above.
  23. Like so many others I have had problems with Google Maps and Internet Explorer (IE). Most puzzling is that I am running two very similar PC:s both with Windows XP Professional and IE 7, one displaying the problems with pan and zoom in Google Maps and one with no problem. I have now (for my own part) pinned down the problem to Norton Internet Security (NIS) . Here are my findings (using Windows XP Prof. and IE 7 with all updates and patches installed in all cases): IE 7, NIS 2006, auto-protect on: problem with maps; IE 7, NIS 2006, auto-protect off: no problem with maps; Firefox, NIS 2006, auto-protect on: no problem with maps; IE 7, NIS 2008, auto-protect on: no problem with maps. My conclusion is that the problem with Google Maps (Pan and zoom hangs in “Parsing”) is related to the auto-protect feature in earlier versions of Norton Internet Security in combination with M/S Internet Explorer. Thus use Firefox or install NIS 2008 in order to avoid the problem. I have not checked with Symantec if this is a known problem or if they happened to solve it when they updated the code for the 2008 version (which is faster than earlier versions). The problem can be recreated which speaks for this being a solution.
