  1. This one took a bit of time to learn. If the log is nice and dry, that works. If the log is a mushy piece of pulp...."found it", "needs maintenance". why do people insist on trying to jam log scrolls into tiny zip locks? argh B.
  2. I'm going to jinx myself here: I've always had a souvenir appear immediately after posting the "found it" or "attended" log. And with the Blue Switch souvenir...it was also immediate. Click the "submit" button for my "found it" log, and a tab popped up on the right-hand side telling me that I had earned a souvenir. The most problems I've read in the forums are from folks who are outside North America, and the time/date difference has usually been the problem. The Blue Switch souvenir hadn't been switched on "as yet", as explained by a Lackey somewhere else in the forum. B.
  3. You can retroactively award favorites, once you've got enough of them to give out. Maybe make a bookmark list of caches that you want to give favorites, so you don't forget later. B.
  4. I wonder if Signal's upcoming trip to Canada might indicate a souvenir for Canada Day is in the works? B.
  5. You didn't delete the souvenir. It's still there under your "souvenirs" tab. What you've done is removed it from your profile page under "Profile Information". What you want now is the html code to display it on your profile page, which Sherminator18 has kindly provided. B.
  6. Where in the world is Signal? Dönerstag 2017 Acquired on 04/29/2017 (also on your profile page under "Profile Information") 3 million active geocaches: Thank you! Acquired on 04/24/2017 (also on your profile page under "Profile Information") https://coord.info/GC6P6CT Tree of Knowledge JDogMonkey Found it 05/03/2017 (That explains why you don't have the "Blue Switch Day 2017" souvenir, which was available on 05/02/2017) You were able to log this one as found more than once. As of May 8th, this will not be possible. Upcoming Logging Rule Changes http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=343632 If your daughter is TornadoTori15, the souvenirs for "Where in the world is Signal? Dönerstag 2017" and "Blue Switch Day 2017" are showing on her profile page under "Profile Information", but not on her souvenirs tab. https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=840c470a-c36f-40cb-8d6b-437a4ae9b2e9 You might want to contact Groundspeak to get help with this: Email Us http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=request (category 06 Souvenirs) B.
  7. Help Center → Geocaching® app & GPS → Geocaching® app 1.6. Create, edit, and delete Lists http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=762 B.
  8. In this thread, in the appropriate forum: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=344125 Or perhaps feedback would be an idea in the Release Notes thread: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=344084 B.
  9. Your log of 04/28 should have been at least "temporarily disabled", but more honestly an archival log. You did not perform "owner maintenance". 6.6. Temporarily disable and enable a geocache http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 There's no container...what is there for someone to adopt? Nothing. You've moved away...archive it. It will still show in your profile. It's not fair to someone else to expect them to keep this set of coordinates "alive" for you. Maybe that location could be someone else's first cache. Help Center → Hide a cache → Ownership after publication 6.15. Archive a geocache http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=56 B.
  10. The cache owner can not delete online finds if the user has signed the physical logbook. 6.13. Delete logs http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=204 Signing the log book fulfills the "logging requirements" as set out by Groundspeak. There is no requirement to solve the puzzles on your own. B.
  11. Are you asking about lists or pocket queries? Are you really going to be able to search for thousands of caches during your time there? Would it not be easier to create bookmark lists of specific caches, and then create pocket queries of those? If you are only staying in one specific area, you wouldn't need the caches from all over the country? B.
  12. I assume you've already received the weekly newsletter from GS, and now know about the souvenir for May 2nd: B.
  13. Help Center - Apps - search "corrected coordinates" 2.12. How to Enter Solved Coordinates for Mystery Caches http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=807 B.
  14. Here's hoping that all the Reviewers also got a special "3 Million caches" souvenir. B.
  15. Okay, wow. I checked again, and we've got the "3 million active geocaches: Thank you!" souvenir! Thank you, Groundspeak. B.
  16. Is this any help? Help Center → Apps → Geocaching® app 1.9. View cache owner and log photos http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=646 B.
  17. I haven't seen it, but the blog explains a lot: it sounds like they're literally getting rid of NM logs. Could you provide a link to this blog article? I've gone to a new cache page, clicked on "log geocache" and still had the same options in the dropdown menu: found it, didn't find it, write note, needs archived, needs maintenance I didn't notice any difference to the cache page. Are we talking about logging on the app? B.
  18. I'm having no problem seeing the maps in your profile, either. https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?id=929237 I'm assuming that we are talking about the GS maps in people's profiles, not 3rd-party maps that are displayed as part of the first page of one's profile. B.
  19. I'm having no problem seeing the maps in YOUR profile, as I said in my post above. https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?id=3886621 Perhaps you should refresh your computer's cache, and try again looking in your profile/statistics/maps. B.
  20. I see "Caches Found by SisqoKid in the World" and "Caches Found by SisqoKid in Europe" maps in your profile. Some times the GS servers seem to get overloaded, especially on weekends. This is a particularly busy weekend....CITO's, 2 new souvenirs....not surprised that things glitch out once in a while. B.
  21. You've got the souvenir in your profile: Celebrating 3 million active geocaches Acquired on 04/22/2017 B.
  22. It's there now. See my post above about the actual name of the souvenir, and where it is located in your list of souvenirs. B.
  23. Your souvenir has been added to your profile. The souvenirs are sorted alphabetically... go to the bottom of the list and you will see the souvenir for "Where in the world is Signal? Dönerstag 2017". B.
  24. One vital thing to remember when caching with kids is that trackables ARE NOT "prizes" or "gifts" or swag. Cute things attached to travel bug tags or shiny coins are meant to be moved on, not taken and kept. Have fun with the kiddo. Hope you guys find lots of decent0-sized, clean, filled with goodies types of caches. B.
