  1. To remove KML from Geocaching is yet another sign of the ignorance of Groundspeak towards its users and moreover paying members. The KML was THE way for me to find caches. Not it is gone and I am mad as hell!!! What is next? Pocket Queries??? Hmm, maybe we could also disable them to save some traffic. After all there are at most 200 people using them. Sorry but I don't know how long I will be willing to feed 30 bucks to GS every year if I get that in return.
  2. tried it and still does not work. Still the same stupid auto detect loop. Sorry but how hard can it be to simply go and delete this ridiculous auto detect function from the software if it does not work, for god's sake! The P3300 is one of the most used machines out there! I could understand when it was not working before, but why do we still have a software after another update that does not even start? Sorry but I don't get it.
  3. Yes! I also have an HTC P3300 and same error. Tried with WM5 and WM6. Both same result, the SW goes into search GPS mode and loops endlessly. It does not completely crash the PDA though under WM6 but that does not make it any better. I think the easiest solution to this problem would be to get rid of this mandatory autosearch but let the main program start first and then let the user go into settings and offer two options: auto detect and manual setup. This is how it is done in Google Maps Mobile and this works very well. If your machine has a prob with autodetect then you can just set it manually and bingo, you are done. Please consider the above option as it would solve the problem for most users (also with other machines). I really really want to try Wherigo! But I cannot and that drives me crazy. Please fix!!!!!!!! Thanks!
  4. Hi, I think one thing that is really missing on GC.com is the possibility to network with other cachers. I think the following would be really nice features: a friend list where you can add other cachers you know A group feature that lets you create shared lists and logs for a team/group of cachers a detailed search of other cachers (by country, no. of caches found, interests, etc) etc. Please add your ideas! I hope GC.com can enhance the community aspect of geocaching. Because after all geocaching is most fun with if you share the fun with others.
  5. I just arrived in Jinan, Shandong Province. I placed my first Cache in China there yesterday. If you are in the area, come and check it out. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...b3-36dfb72e7f66
  6. Hi, I am hansolo77, a cacher from Germany. I will spend the next couple of months in Jinan and Shanghai. I am really looking forward to do some caching there, discover interesting places and maybe hide a few caches of my own. Unfortunately Jinan does not have a single cache, yet. Well I think that is gonna change when I get there It would be really cool to meet other cachers in China. Maybe an event cache in Shanghai? What do you think? I looked up the geocaching.cn page but unfortunately my Chinese is not that advanced yet. Anyway, nice work! Hope to meet some of you in China. Happy hunting Hansolo77
  7. Hi, quite often I team up and go caching with other geocachers. I think most of you do the same. It is always quite annoying that every user logs the cache, resulting in 2 or more logs for actually the same find. It would be great if it was possible to create groups/teams that can contain many users that cache together. As a result there would only be one log (from the team instead of each individual person) and at the same time, every member of the team gets the cache marked as found. Just an idea, maybe you have comments on that.
