    I70 List

I don't have a Bookmark, but I do have a GPX file with all the caches within 1 mile of I-70 in Ohio. PM me and I'll send it to you.
  2. try www.okic.org and go to the forums. and welcome to the area! As 4LC said, "WELCOME" to the area. I noticed you have already logged onto the OKIC forums, so that's a good start. Carlise is not too far from Beavercreek, where I live. Cheers ... BVCY Swim
  3. Email sent ... and thanks for the nice gift. Merry Christmas!
  4. Your links will not work for anyone but yourself as the cache has not been approved and published yet! Therefore, no comment.
  5. Makes sense to me ... it works in Ohio just fine.
  6. I just load the caches within 2 miles of the route I'll be taking. The route is set on the caches I intend to find in Delorme Street Atlas and then the route is imported into GSAK for filtering purposes. Filtering a smaller number of caches allows GPXsonar to load much faster in my PocketPC. I rarely "cache-on-the-fly" and plan all my hunts, so too many caches are overkill for me ... your mileage my vary of course
  7. I remember that, but did not partake !!
  8. why not?? Not really into Alien Encounter kinda games ... I just like plain 'ol caching in a group, and don't like competing. Other reasons, too, that are nobody's business but mine.
  9. Thanks for posting the link to the avatars, n00b. They sure bring back some memories. And thanks to Cheeseheads for hosting the image. BTW, I just placed a new cache in Eric's memory, H-Connector (Badger)
  10. Yes, Dad. We'll get the van back by 11:00. Who you callin' old?!? Darn whipper-snappers!
  11. Make sure you log lots of caches for SF. He'll be watching and smiling down on you. Hope you guys have a great time ... and stay out of trouble !
  12. I'll miss Eric and the fun times we had caching together. What a nice young person. I'm sure he's at the "big trailhead" right now. My prayers are with Eric and his family. Tears ... BVCY Swim Lep: Your penguin avatar was so appropriate, I just had to borrow it ... hope you don't mind.
  13. Buzzardroost, Too in south-central part of the state. Of course, PewterZ is a real good one, too. What the heck, do them both on the same day!
  14. lrgoodger: I noticed you have left your silvers as trade items at a few caches you have found. But you left them outside of and not in the cache itself. Why do you complain in your logs for those caches that people are taking the silvers and not logging them? If you trade for an item, you should leave your item INSIDE the cache, not outside. Leave them outside the cache and they are fair game for anybody to find and take!
  15. Try spending one at a store. The poor store that does take one in exchange for goods and trys to deposit one in a bank is in for a big surprise! May be worth the price of silver, but that's it! I smell a pyramid scheme here! The only ones who are going to make money are the guys spreading these things around and getting merchants to by into accepting them.
  16. Page 1 has several I have not found either because they require too much stealth, are not a decent hike that gets the 'ol heart pumpin', or I just don't want to do for various reasons. The first one being 1.1 miles away. The first one I WANT to do is on page 2, 4.8 miles sway.
  17. Scook is famous for his homemade Cincinnati-style Chili ...
  18. Delco Magneto v3.0 in Dayton, OH requires a compass and translation of GPS tracks into digits for final cache coordinates. Much fun and requires a two person team !
  19. When I see a WG bill in a cache, I just leave it. Too much hassle to log it on the WG site.
  20. We found your cache with the mouse, but didn't find it creepy. The mouse was rather cute. We logged the cache, returned any straw bedding, and replaced the cache. He's been there for a while according to previous cacher logs. So I'd say he's found a nice & safe home and I'd just let him stay.
  21. FYI: A SW Ohio group was listed at the top of this thread ... Linky: OKIC
