The whole topic is null and void. Some people can't find water if they fell out of a boat. They hunt and DNF when they can't find the cache. This could cause a poor cache rating. Others come along and find the cache easily . Those cachers add these caches to their Bookmarks. Happens all of the time. This would indicate a good cache rating. Peace!

The Yellow Thingy (Garmin Etrex) gets loaded with waypoints. I write down some notes on each cache we plan to hunt and head out. Sometimes I print a map of the area and mark each cache. I don't have to beg the wife. She pretty much wants to go, often more than I do.

My side of it is, I like the rating system the way it is now. Generally, I only look at the terrain difficulty ratings. If it's a 4 or 5, I usually skip those. Peace!

'Went caching Tuesday, July 4th, and just yesterday started finding the bumps from chiggers. Maybe it was Thursday but, it seems that it's always a couple of days before I started feeling the effects. I could head this off by using a repelant. Most times I do but we were driving for hours and I didn't want to smell up the truck too much.
