I've been told that since the 310 only has two digits after the decimal when entering waypoints, that the accuracy is reduced by approximately 120 feet plus the estimated position error (EPE)already created by the signal from the satelites. Therefore there can be an error as much as a couple hundred feet under certain conditions. We use both a 310 and a 315 in our geocaching adventures.
