  1. Garmiin put out a Metroguide Canada4 made by a Canadian Mapping company named DMTI which had excellant data and appears to have about 3 times the data than city select 7. I'm getting the feeling that they are not going to Update using DMTI data and it is going to be a long time before Navtec which produces the mapping for City select 7 ever would catch up for the Data in Canada. Has any one heard of any updates comming out for Canada 4 or do you think it is going to be history. Is Dmti supplying any other brands out there with there mapping for Canada. I like Garmin products but would switch Brands to get the best mapping for Canada if garmin isn't going to update Canada maps.
  2. While holding them in the hand test try to enter data using 1 hand and I'm sure you will find that having the buttons on top the 76 is much easier to enter data with your thumb. Most people always wish they had more storage after buying a gps so being able to hold twice as much mapping is a big plus especially when you start adding topo maps on top of your other loaded maps.
  3. One more option is on the map/ menu / setup you cand set the option to turn off track visible on map or hide track points. When your saving a track you can also check a little box to either show on map or hide on map. there is always so many options.
  4. Both are good unit but when you can get twice the memory it is not a close contest. 76 wins hands down and is much easier to operate one handed and larger buttons.
  5. Yes that Bata version is a Bummer for Mapsource 6.9 Bata. They now join all the tracks together in the active log and it would take you all day to sort out your tracks. Email them and tell them you do not like this or we will be stuck with it after the Bata time is up. I went back to 6.8
  6. With usb it will take probobly around 8min to load all 115mb
